Patterns in averted eye lines

These are a few photos I’ve been sitting on for the past few months taken on the Pentax K1000 with Kodak Gold and Ilford HP5. I haven’t had much time to shoot lately with school and everything, plus my camera is currently broke and so am I. These aren’t my strongest images but I figured I’d throw them out here before the end of the year (@ejehl_ ). I’d love to hear what you guys think. Thank you everybody who looks at my art and happy holidays!

My beautiful Lola
September 15, 1945- June 29, 2023.

This is a project I had started recently after my grandmother’s cancer diagnosis earlier this year to portrait the home that she and my grandfather had lived in for almost 50 years, in the tinted nostalgia and soiled knowledge that such portraits of her would soon be impossible. I did not know just how soon “soon” would end up being.
The “series” is less than 20 photos total but are nonetheless enough to capture my personal relationship toward the home in its last true months. by @atiticus
