A special moment from @audrainconcours reuniting two cars that have not been together in over 15 years! Both vehicles, a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL, and 2009 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren were purchased new by the same owner finished in an Ivory shade called “Elfenbein”. In 2009 Mercedes only built four “paint to sample” SLR’s, this example being the only one finished in “Elfenbein” to match the 300SL. An incredible moment getting both cars back together for a photoshoot after the supercar concours concluded on Saturday! by @audrainautomuseum

President Joe Biden surprised us on the field at Fort Adams State Park for today’s Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance, presented by A. Lange & Söhne, and his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible took home the Spirit of Audrain Award 🏆

The Corvette was a wedding gift from his father, and nearly six decades and more than 200,000 miles later, it is still telling that story.

We were proud to present President Biden with a quilted ACMW jacket, embroidered with his name by Warwick’s own Myron Wood, along with an Audrain Automobile Museum Lifetime Membership as member #46 🏎️

It was an honor to welcome him to Newport. Thank you, President Biden, for sharing your Corvette and its story with us. It’s clear you’re a true car enthusiast at heart, and we’re thrilled to count you among the Audrain family.

This was my first year to the @audrainconcours. I had an absolute blast. If you are in the New England area and you are into cars, it's definitely worth coming down for the weekend. Even if you don't do any of the paid events, there's plenty of free things to do surrounding car culture.

Next up for me is Luft 12, so see you folks in Atlanta.

It was a lovely day indeed. I held off on using my Canon cameras till the last day to save my energy for a huge push. I really wanted to show the beauty of the @audrainconcours.

This year it took place at Fort Adams, which was actually taken over by the British at one point. Now it's the perfect venue for an epic car show.

Can we all put politics aside for just one moment, and appreciate that Joe Biden brought his 1967 Corvette Stingray to a car show! I am not political in any way, but I am glad that Joe supports the culture that we love so much.

He wasn't there as a former president. He was there as a car enthusiast, just like us. He brought his grandson as well and they spent a few hours checking out the cars in the show.

I shook his hand, looked him in the eye and told him that he's the only president in history that knows how to do a burnout. He asked me if I've seen the video of him doing one, and I said "Yes, we have all seen it and we love it"

I really have to hand it to @audrainconcours for pulling something like this off. Jay Leno invited Joe a few weeks ago and he actually showed up! I never thought I would be able to shoot a presidential sports car 😂🤣

I don't care if you are right, left, center, orange, green or whatever. If you want to bring your car to a show, I'll shoot it. This is why I shot this years Freedom 250 in Washington DC, you just can't deny it was an incredible moment for racing in the US.

You can say what you want about the GTD. Any new performance car is awesome in my book.

I can't say I've ever seen a Lamborghini Countach in green. So many cool cars at the @audrainconcours super car gathering this morning.

I haven't been to a cars & coffee event in over ten years. I loved the variety of cars that showed up. It was cool to see how many people came from surrounding states just for the show.

Friday car spotting in Newport during the @audrainconcours.

Just walking the streets and watching the cars go by was worth the trip.

Love seeing the Maserati MC12. It's such a wild looking machine in person.

There's plenty of 80s and 90s Rad era cars in attendance at the @audrainconcours. It's cool to see this quaint beach town turn into car culture heaven this weekend. If you love cars and you are in New England, come hang out.

Some more of my favorite cars from the Friday gathering at @audrainconcours. Some of these cars are from the @audrainautomuseum collection, but most of them are entrants from all over the US.

I just love the wide variety of cars from Fiat Pandas to the TAG Turbo.
