I’m so excited to announce my candidacy as a finalist for the National Student Council Secretary position! From elementary to high school, I’ve been a member of my schools student council, and I believe that it’s shaped me into the go-getter and leader that I am today. Now I’m delighted to take that spirit and experience to the next level—the National level! 🌎⭐️

The student leaders that I was able to meet at LEAD were nothing short of inspirational and I continue to be grateful to @natstuco for the amazing opportunity to be your National secretary!

Speaking on stage and closing out the conference in front of all 2500+ of you has by far been one of the greatest highlights of my life. I’m so grateful to all of you who came up and talked to me, asked me questions, and snapped a quick pic (don’t forget to send those my way!) A special shoutout to the 220 students and advisors that sat in on my networking session, you guys rocked!

Amid the government shutdown, I had the chance to spend several life-changing days on Capitol Hill with the National Student Council. And I left with the experience that reminded me why student advocacy matters.

We were there to protect K–12 funding (IDEA, CTE, and Titles I–IV), and what hit me most was how powerful students’ stories really are. Legislators genuinely wanted to hear from us. It reminded me that our voices matter way more than we think.

Students have so much power. Not because of titles, but because of the experiences we carry. What stood out to me most on this trip was just how eager legislators were to hear our stories. They need to hear them. If you care about education access, student mental health, or school safety, don’t wait for someone else to speak up. Reach out to your representatives, send an email, make a call. Real change doesn’t trickle down from the top, it grows from the people who feel the impact every day.
