No one succeeds alone. When we support one another, even the heaviest burdens become lighter.

25 years. And somehow, it still feels like yesterday.

Some photographs capture a moment. Others keep a whole part of who we are.

I look at that small boy with glasses, standing in the front row, and I can hardly write without becoming emotional.

That boy was me.

I was 13, nearly 14, when I had the honour of becoming a founding member of Walt Disney Chapter No. 497 of the Order of DeMolay, in Olaria, Rio de Janeiro.

This September, our Chapter celebrates 25 years.

How quickly time passes. Yet, if I close my eyes, I can still remember so much: the expectation, the unknown, my Brothers, our Masonic Uncles, the ceremony, and the feeling of becoming part of something I was still too young to understand would remain with me for life.

I also had the honour of being the Chapter’s first Preceptor, representing the first of our Seven Cardinal Virtues: Filial Love.

Perhaps that became more meaningful in my life than that 13-year-old boy could ever have imagined.

DeMolay taught me lessons that I still carry today: to honour my parents, value friendship, remain faithful to my principles and, above all, to serve others.

My family gave me the foundations of who I am, and DeMolay helped turn many of those values into principles for life.

There is also something very special in these photographs: the presence of Uncle Alberto Mansur (inmemorian), such an important figure in the history of DeMolay in Brazil. What an honour to have shared that moment with him.

Today, at 39, living thousands of miles away in London, I look at that boy and wish I could tell him:

“You don’t know it yet, but you will carry all of this very far with you.”

You will grow. You will cross an ocean. You will fall and rise many times. But some things will remain: love for family, fraternity, your word, and the desire to serve others.

And now, 25 years later, as I prepare for my own interview… here in England, these memories have returned to me. Life has a beautiful way of bringing us back to where some of our values first took shape.
To my Brothers, to our Masonic Uncles, and to everyone who has kept the flame of Walt Disney Chapter No. 497 alive for 25 years: thank you:. #demolay by @augusto.recovery

A meaningful day at the House of Lords

I was honoured to attend the launch of The Cedar Review at the House of Lords, bringing together entrepreneurs, organisations and people committed to supporting entrepreneurship and opportunity in the UK.

It was a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and connect with people from different backgrounds, while reflecting on the challenges that many entrepreneurs face when building a business, from understanding systems and accessing the right support to developing networks and creating sustainable opportunities.

As someone building my own professional journey in London, both through my work in massage therapy and wellbeing and now through my growing jewellery business, Queiroz London, these conversations felt particularly relevant.

One thing I took away from the day is that entrepreneurship is not only about having an idea. It is also about having access to knowledge, networks and opportunities that allow that idea to grow.

Thank you to @thecedarreview , @britainsmallbiz , Rebel Business School, and everyone involved for the invitation, the conversations and such a welcoming event.

I left the House of Lords with new connections, new perspectives and even more motivation for the journey ahead.

Have compassion for those who are suffering.

Today, as I walked through the hospital, I was reminded that many people here are fighting battles we cannot see. Some are facing illness, some are facing fear, and some are spending precious moments with the people they love.

If you can help someone, do it.
If you can listen, listen.
If you can offer kindness, offer it generously.

We never know when life may place us in a position where we need the compassion of others.

A kind word, a smile, a moment of patience, or a simple gesture of support can mean more than we realise.

Every life matters.
Every person matters.
Every moment matters.

❤️

Toda vida importa.
Toda pessoa importa.
Todo momento importa.

❤️

High performance without structured recovery is not sustainable.

Most professionals focus on sleep duration.

Very few understand sleep quality.

If you wake up functional but not restored,
your nervous system may still be in performance mode.

Chronic cognitive load alters breathing mechanics.
Altered breathing increases muscular tension.
Muscular tension reduces recovery efficiency.

The result?

You sleep.
But you do not recover.

The Executive Recovery Programme is designed for high-performing professionals who want clarity, physical reset and sustainable output.

Structured.
Private.
Central London.

If this resonates, comment “RECOVERY”.

Burnout rarely starts in the mind.
It shows up in the body first.

Tight shoulders.
Shallow sleep.
A constant pressure that never fully switches off.

This is not about “fixing everything” in one session.
It is about creating space in your body so you can think clearly again.

My Burnout Recovery Session is structured bodywork for busy professionals who carry too much tension for too long.

No hype.
No miracle claims.
Just focused, intelligent work designed to help you feel lighter, clearer and back in control.

I work with a limited number of clients each week to maintain quality and focus.
