Introduction time
Hi and welcome, I'm Auriana.
I am a daughter, wife and mother. Working on my debut romance novel.

Even though I'm an introvert and shy of nature (hence the 🧡 over my face), I'm always happy to connect with new people. Once you get past my surface, you'll find out I'm chaotic, tad crazy but loving person.

Please let me know if we have anything in common or just to say hi.

I need your help. I have several ideas on how to "finish my villain 😈. See the slides. But I can't decide on one. Please help this libra ♎️ out by voting for your favourite option.

Little side information about the book:
The FMC has some magic abilities, all nature/animal related. One of the MMC is just an ordinary human whereas the other is a protector and normally only uses his abilities to protect the FMC by any means or healing.

It's interesting to see how my reading style has changed over the years.

As a kid I loved reading any horse related stories. As I got older it moved to historical fiction and later historical fantasy. The fun thing is, that I never liked history as a subject at school 🤷‍♀️

My teenage reading years started with the Earthchildren series from Jean M. Auel, mainly due to my mom. She always joked that my love for animals came through this series. As that was what she was reading while pregnant with me.
The same counts for 'The Light Bearer' (guess where my name comes from 😉).

Bernard Cornwell was thanks to my older brother. He loved reading in English, so when I needed a book for school I went to him. I wanted to read 'the pale horseman' because I thought it was about horses 😅 (Yes I still loved horses then). The Saxon series hit home! Following Uthred's struggle between Christianity and Paganism was something I dealt with myself.

I'll admit, the Outlander series came much later. And I only discovered these books when season 3 of the TV series aired and someone pointed me to the show, which resulted in my finding the books.

Stay tuned to find out which historical fantasy I loved to read.

Which books or series shaped your reading style?

My WIP (still need to find a title) in just 6 pictures. To convey what to expect and the vibe of the story.

For the readers: What are your expectations seeing these 6 pictures?

For the writers: how would you describe your WIP in 6 words?

I never have been that creative or artistic. I've had millions of ideas since a kid, but my hands and head never worked together to create the image I imagined. No matter if it's drawing, painting, crafting of like this digital.
These last weeks, I've seen so many beautiful crafted posts, ideas on how to work with canva. But honestly, I've spend more time trying to create the imagine in my head on canva or edits, than I spend on my writing ✍️.

This doesn't mean I will never try it again. It means I will tell myself not to spend more time then needed on a post. It means more time for my children and my other hobbies. And of course my writing.

What is your relationship with creating posts and the algorithm? How do you keep the balance?

My 2-weeks update, forgot last weeks update 🙈

Managed to type out almost 4000 words, resulting in 29 chapters.
Of course also continued writing ✍️ in my notebook, with about 2 chapters added.
Loads more to type out 💻

Slowly but steady everything is coming together.

How is your writing going?

A day late for this #writerspromptparty but finally had a quiet moment to get some random and out of context lines from my WIP. Lines are from different POV's.

The writerspromptparty is organised by a group of writers:
@writes.as.rae.b.ryker
@nikkihb_writes
And many other amazing writers whose names are temporary clouded by my brain fog ☁️

Come and meet my MMC, Jason

Jason is my second character in my WIP.
What will he be to Diana, the FMC? Stay tuned and find out later.

My daughter loves drawing and wants to be a (real) artist one day 🎨. In my eyes she already is an artist. I gave her a little nudge and asked if she wanted to be the first to draw my FMC from my description. She only allowed me to share hers, if I also attempted to draw Diana and post it 😅🙈

To be honest, me and drawing have never been friends and most likely never will be. 😂

So who should attempt to draw my MMC? by @auriana.groats
