August 5, 2026. Today I publicly declared that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I was baptized as a kid, but today was different. Today was my decision. Today was my act of obedience. Today was my public declaration that my life belongs to Jesus Christ. For 36 years, I spent my life trying to become enough. Enough to be loved. Enough to be accepted. Enough to be significant. Enough to prove my worth. I spent my life trying to figure everything out on my own, carrying burdens I was never created to carry. I fought battles with depression, anxiety, suicide attempts, heartbreak, pride, lust, anger, selfishness, shame, and a deep hatred toward myself. I tried to fix myself. I tried to save myself. I tried to build a life apart from the One who created me. Every time I relied on my own strength, I eventually found myself empty again. The entire time, Jesus was pursuing me. While I was running, He was waiting. While I was searching everywhere else, He was patiently calling me home. His grace, mercy, forgiveness, patience, and unconditional love are overwhelming because I know who I used to be, I know what He’s forgiven, and I know what He’s rescued me from. I know I don’t deserve any of it, but that’s the beauty of the Gospel. Jesus didn’t wait for me to become good enough before He loved me. He met me in my brokenness and offered me a new life through His death, burial, and resurrection. Today wasn’t about becoming perfect. It was about surrendering my life to the only One who is. When I went under that water, I publicly identified with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The old Austin is dead. Today I rise as a new creation, not because of anything I’ve accomplished, but because of everything Jesus accomplished on the cross. My righteousness is no longer found in what I’ve done for God, but in what Jesus has done for me. Today, by the grace of God, I begin walking in the new life that Jesus purchased for me.

One of those bodybuilding moments that speaks for itself.

First ever bodybuilding show, and I end up sharing the stage with @ruff_diesel and creating this incredible moment.

I’ve always respected the way Terrence represents Classic Physique, and when it comes to posing, he’s one of the best to ever do it. Having him come out and pose with our group made for an unforgettable moment, and somehow we ended up with this shot.

What made the weekend even better was everything surrounding it, the athletes, coaches, teams, promoters, and people who continue to make this sport what it is.

I also got the chance to speak with Terrence backstage, thank him personally for what he’s contributed to bodybuilding, and pray over him before we went our separate ways.

There’s something special about this sport when years of work, great coaching, competition, community, and people you’ve learned from all come together in moments like this.

Thankful for the moment. Thankful for bodybuilding. Thankful for the people who make it special. Thanking God for every part of this journey.

Just getting started.

Job finished.

I jumped on a phone call with Drew in February and he impressed me from the start, first with how personable he was. I don’t think we talked bodybuilding or training for the first 30 minutes. It was life stuff, and we connected before he even knew what I wanted to accomplish.

When we finally got to it, I told him, “I want to compete for the first time ever and my goal is to go pro before the end of the year.”

Crazy goal, but I have a sovereign God in my corner who goes before me and makes a way.

Fast forward to September. August 29th, I won the Gold’s Gym Classic in Raleigh and qualified for North Americans. Yesterday in Pittsburgh, we finished the job.

Two shows.
Two wins.
IFBB PRO.

Drew THANK YOU.

Thank you for believing in the vision from the beginning, for every adjustment, every check in, every conversation, every challenge, and every time you reminded me to trust the process when I couldn’t see what you could see.

What means the most is that before you ever became my bodybuilding coach, you took the time to know me as a person. That first conversation told me everything I needed to know about the kind of man I was putting my trust in. I brought you a crazy goal. You never laughed at it, watered it down, or gave me a more “realistic” version. You just got to work.

As proud as I am of what we accomplished, I’m even more grateful for who I got to accomplish it with.

God gets every ounce of the glory. He opened the doors, gave us the ability, surrounded me with the right people, and allowed all of this to happen in His timing.

OREO MCFLURRY (Drew’s nickname). 😂 I’m incredibly grateful God put you in my corner for this chapter. Thank you for coaching me, believing in me, pushing me, and helping me turn something I spoke in faith back in February into reality.

Love you, brother. We did exactly what we said we were going to do.

Job finished.

My heart is so full. I haven’t seen my mom in over a decade. 71 years looks so good on her.

I surprised her and she said I made her day. She wore a smile I haven’t seen since I was a little kid, and it means the world to me.

My mom has been through a lot. She’s one of the strongest women I know, and now she’s going to church, saved and seeking the Lord. She’s genuinely happy. Jesus is so good.

I’m grateful beyond words for this moment. The way God is moving in every area of my life has been one of the most humbling experiences. Life feels so whole, and the amount of love and favor I’m receiving is incredible.

All glory to God.

Went to a @bethelmusic concert last night solo.
Left with more than I expected.

Ended up sponsoring a 6 year old boy named Salumu through @compassion. He’s been waiting over a year.

Grateful I even get the opportunity to give like this.
Perspective is everything.

Thank you Jesus.

If you’re in a position to give, I’d highly recommend it. by @austincolecurry

Strong year. Strong circle. Strong energy.
Stronger with the one true God who holds me down.

Thank you to everyone who’s been apart of this journey and made it special. #birthdayvibes

From his first bodybuilding competition to earning his PRO CARD!

When we first introduced you to @austincolecurry he was putting in the work, preparing for his biggest challenge yet. Now he’s back at OPG with trophies, medals, and an incredible story to tell!

Austin dominated his first-ever bodybuilding competition, winning all three of his classes in Classic Physique. He then took it to the national stage at the North American Championships in Pittsburgh, where he earned his PRO CARD!

In this Part 2 interview, OPG owner Ken sits down with Austin to celebrate his victories, reflect on the journey, and talk about what’s next: the road to Mr. Olympia.

We’re proud to sponsor Austin and support his journey from day one. And we’re just getting started!

Congratulations, Austin! The entire OPG family is behind you.

What started with a conversation on the gym floor turned into something pretty special.

Ken saw the potential, believed in the athlete, and OPG stepped in to sponsor his very first competition prep.

Now, just weeks later, he’s officially an IFBB Pro with TWO Pro Cards 🏆🏆

This is what OPG is all about. Supporting our athletes, believing in our community, and giving people the environment they need to chase big goals.

Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment. We’re proud to have you representing OPG and can’t wait to see what’s next.

2 shows. 2 Pro Cards. IFBB Pro 🔥 by @austincolecurry

It was super cool to share the stage with my brother @billreilich.

Billy works hard, all while taking care of his clients out of Gold’s Gym Venice. He looked sharp for Nationals, but what always stands out most to me is his character. He’s always encouraging and celebrating others. I respect that, especially considering there’s so much talk about bodybuilding being a selfish sport. He leads with kindness and still shows up at a high level when it comes to competing.

That’s what I love about bodybuilding and sports in general. They bring people together. Everyone is training hard, making improvements, and pursuing excellence.

I love all of it. What a journey it was to my first-ever show. God met me in every part of it, too. This win was not by my own strength. There was a lot of prayer, supplication, and trust in God to have His way throughout this entire prep.

Job finished. IFBB Pro.

The journey is just getting started. Let’s see how far we can g⭕️.

Documentation. 2 weeks post show. IFBB Pro.

Job is finished.. for now. Judges feedback? GROW. That’s it.
More muscle maturity and density on my upper body. Noted.

Not bad for a true novice. Not by my strength. It is He who dwells within me and we’re not done yet. We’re right where we want to be.

God is too good. Looking forward to 2⭕️27.

It takes humility.

To be a coach, mentor, teacher, or to hold any position where you also have the opportunity to remain a student, takes humility.

To lead, first you must learn how to follow.

That’s something I hold close because it’s true. Excellence is less about proving what you think you can do and more about how well you can listen, learn, process, and apply the instruction you’re given.

You have to be coachable.

It takes patience, practice, and trust. It also takes the willingness to surrender your pride and your need to control every part of the process.

Having knowledge and the confidence to lead yourself is valuable. But being able to share your goals with others, receive correction, adapt, and allow people you trust to sharpen you requires another level of humility.

Pride says, “I already know.”

Humility says, “Teach me.”

And when God places the right people around you, there is wisdom in receiving what He may be teaching you through them so lower your ego, stay teachable, and keep pursuing excellence.
