Much more to come...

Artworks In Video:

Brian Dettmer - Science In the 20th Century
Book transformed into sculpture... Each entirely unique, emerging from each book's content, beautifully detailed, and just so cool. First favorite contemporary artist I had, check em out. (His website (at his name) shows the stunning progression of the work over time) @briandettmerstudio

Refik Anadol - Unsupervised
Installation at MOMA using a specialized AI trained on all public data of the museum's collection to generate a wall sized ever shifting interplay of color and shape movement, unique in every moment, breathtaking and prescient for its time way back in 2022.
@refikanadol

Eric Brummel
Time Lapse Astrophotography- Stabilized with the stars so we witness Earth's rotation. A 'Pale Blue Dot' level moment of seeing our place in space, but done right here on earth by using a ton of care, cinematographic skill, imaginative creativity, and time.

I did the thing!

After 20 years of writing, I feel I’ve done something truly worthwhile. ‘Tig & Lily’ is a middle grade chapter book, suitable for all ages and a quick fun read for adults:

Lily is 11 years old when she hears a 1 week old kitten crying outside her window, abandoned by its mother. But as she helps raise him, she finds an ageless trickster god has been trapped in the helpless body of this growing cat, and, as he gets his immense powers back, she must teach him what it means to love before he puts everyone in danger.

There’s a link in the bio to Amazon if you want a copy, especially if you know a young reader in the 9-13 range. It’s already gotten at least one kid to fall in love with reading and another is on her fifth read. (You can get a free Kindle sample, if you want the e-book for free just message me).

I plan to write for young readers for the rest of my life- My intention is for readers to go on a fun fantastical journey and perhaps learn some foundational mental health skills along the way.

Infinite thanks to the real Lily for inspiring me and for giving the book its heart.

Knowing anyone is reading this means everything to me, so feel free to message me and stay in touch! by @austinconroy

Behold! I have posted something of a somewhat reasonable length.

(I promise eventually I’ll reach our operant conditionally preferred modern content length of under 4 seconds) by @austinconroy

We try to protect ourselves by not sharing. But when you deal with something through the eyes of other people, that’s when it becomes real.

Proud of how unhinged this lighting scenario is. by @austinconroy

In related news, one of the best weddings I’ve been to, mostly because they’re both so beautifully authentic together and it emanates to everyone around them

For the record, Steve neither is a creep nor was being creepish and was in no way creeping. Casey is right there next to him. But maaaaan did I get lucky on that creepy angle. by @austinconroy

Not enough pictures capture the way she radiates in real life. This one comes close :)

Overcoming can be a form of escape- if you won’t deal with a problem as it is, insist you can make it go away- if you won’t seek help there may be a sign that you’re not willing to face what’s really happening.

I’m not saying we’re not capable of change, we are all infinite in possibility, but we do have things not in our control in our lives, some not always changeable.

What we can change is how we deal, and I keep learning over and over that if we can share honestly what’s happening there is more strength in others than a mind alone can possibly provide.

Turning away from the truth of what’s going on or your behavior can be a sign you fear it can’t be dealt with- and that’s exactly where you need the deepest faith, and the most support- That hope is one of those things the mind can always hold itself responsible for by @austinconroy
