Rest in peace to the cutest doofus I know ❤️❤️ I love you Maple I got Maple 5 years ago as a rescue, and she has almost been a symbol of my adult life. I got her shortly after getting my very first apartment, and she has been with me through every phase of my adult life, she has been a constant in my life and has kept me grounded. Having Maple has taught me so much about myself and about life. She taught me what it feels like to be loved unconditionally and without judgement, and she taught me the capacity in which I can love another being. My whole life, I have felt at odds with the passage of time. The crushing weight of the inevitability of change is devastating to me, and this past week has been difficult and bittersweet. I loved every moment with her while I still had the time to appreciate her presence, but the feeling of dread was always there, knowing that these moments will ultimately be cut short. I wish I could have more time, one more day, one extra walk with her. It is frustrating to me that she is permanently gone from my life, where I am now only left with her memories. This final week made me appreciate the things I often wouldn’t. I grew a fondness of her incessant begging every time I had food in my hands. My heart melted every time she would walk underneath my legs and rub against the side of my bed in the morning. I started to love every part of her in a way that I never did before. I love Maple for every silly little quirk she had, and for making me feel whole. I don’t think that her absence will ever be filled. The grief that I feel is fresh, but I can’t imagine it will ever fully dissipate. I still can’t believe I will never get to kiss her little forehead again, or tell her that she’s a stinky girl, or laugh at her big stupid ears. There will never be another dog quite like her. She was put to rest in the comfort of her own home, eating copious amounts of treats, and I think that this anxious little girl is finally at peace. I hope she knew how loved she was in her final moments. I love my sweet girl, and I will be forever thinking about the impact she made on my life. I will miss her more than words can fully express. by @austinlord1

Reflecting on a year of living in Chattanooga, I genuinely couldn’t do it without these people here with me. I am so appreciative for all the people who have made themselves part of my life here. I feel like I have found a place that feels like home, where I feel like I was meant to be. I will forever be cherishing all the memories I have had with everyone, and the memories we have yet to make ❤️ by @austinlord1
After 25 years, my time in Florida has officially come to a close as I embark on a new chapter in my life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Here’s to new beginnings! —— 25 years, a quarter of a century, Florida is the only place I’ve ever known. I’ve found myself in such a strong community here and I’ve always considered St Pete to be my home. This is where I grew up and where the majority of my life has taken place, as well as where most of my friends are. The friendships I’ve created here are lifelong and I truly can’t imagine a life without my people here who I’ve grown to love so much. It was a very tough decision to leave such an amazing place and community in pursuit of something more, a place which is more suited to my interests. This is the first time in my life where I truly understand what the word bittersweet means. My last few weeks in Florida have been overwhelming and emotionally laborious. I’ve felt so much love from everyone who put in effort to see me before I go, but it’s been frustrating knowing that my time here would inevitably come to an end and the only thing I could do is just make the most out of it and live in the moment. This has really shown me the ephemeral nature of life itself, and the connections that we make along the way. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the people who shaped me, and I am eternally grateful for everyone in my life who has made an impact on me. This isn’t goodbye forever, but a mere see you later. Thank you to all of the people who made me feel very special in my last few weeks here, I have truly felt the love. I’m going to miss each and every one of you immensely. I love you all 🫶🫶 by @austinlord1

1-6 Horse Pens 40 7-10 Stonefort It’s hard to express just how much rock climbing means to me. It started out as a fun way to exercise and stay in shape, but very quickly developed into something much more than that. I have the tendency to jump around different hobbies, searching for that sense of stimulation before eventually dropping them and moving on to another. Climbing is the first thing I’ve done that I’ve stuck with and it feels like I’ve finally found my lifelong passion. It has given me a purpose, stimulating me both mentally and physically. It is not an exaggeration to say that rock climbing has changed my life, it has given me a sense of community and belonging in a world where I often felt like I didn’t belong. The friends I’ve met through climbing are more than friends, they are my family, and I couldn’t ask for a better one. I can’t think of very many things that would get me to go camping in below freezing weather, and I’d do it over and over again if it meant that I can hang out with my friends doing what I love. This past year and a half has been the happiest I’ve ever been, and I can attribute that entirely to rock climbing. I can’t be any more appreciative of this sport for igniting an unstoppable fire in my heart, and giving me a passion for life and adventure. I’m happy to have finally found my thing, and look forward to the many years ahead. by @austinlord1
So I guess this is a coming out post… happy pride everyone 😊🤠 . . . . I’ve put a lot of thought into how I was going to do this, and the idea of it has always seemed terrifying to me but I feel confident and secure enough in myself to finally share. A lot of you already know this, but I know that eventually I will want to share parts of my personal life on here instead of hiding parts of myself out of fear and this felt like the best way to do this. I am happy with who I am and the progress I’ve made over the last few years. It hasn’t been easy to get to this point but I sure am happy that I made it to where I am now. I’m so glad that I feel comfortable sharing this now… happy pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 by @austinlord1
