Please support your local farmers. Under a breathtaking autumn sky, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ember & Mist at Ovoka Farms @ovokafarm.virginia was an evening to remember. A beautiful setting, a thoughtfully gathered table, incredible food, and, best of all, beautiful people sharing good conversation and meaningful moments. It was the kind of evening that reminds you to slow down, savor the moment, and appreciate the beauty of being together. A special thank you and shoutout to Stephen Found @gather.at.table for bringing everyone together and creating such a wonderful event. Every detail made for an unforgettable evening…and thank you Jessica Hara! You are amazing. Chef Aldrin Asencio @open.fire.catering your entire team is so talented and your food is spectacular. Donny Haight @thefarmer.d your black garlic is always sublime. Thanks for everything my brother! We miss you Eva Cassidy. Rest in peace. You will never be forgotten 🙏🏼💕 by @austino.murphy
Tarpon season in the lower keys has been pretty amazing this year. I’m always fascinated to hear about what the fishing was like years ago. As time moves forward at warp speed, I can’t help but wonder what this fishery will be like in the years ahead. Water quality issues and fishing pressure are variables that need our attention. I donated to @bonefishtarpontrust and @captainsforcleanwater and I truly appreciate the great work they do. Please check them out and show them some love. #FloridaKeys #FlyFishing #Adventure #EgretBoats #Fishing #Conservation #TraegerOutdoors #MotherNature #SilverKing #LiveSustainably #Tarpon by @austino.murphy

…just out here soaking up some amazing sunrises and sunsets in the Conch Republic. Mother Nature gives me so much positive energy. Simple things in life mean the most to me. Mother Nature always seems to calm my mind and make me smile. Finland is filled with beautiful rivers and kind people who are willing to share these wonderful natural resources. I’m looking forward to coming back during trout season…”it always comes back around to simple things.” #Adventure #FlyFishing #MotherNature #BrownTroutLand #FlyFishingNation #SoFly #Pesca #OnTheFly #GoodVibesOnly #Pike #Fishing #TraegerOutdoors #PikeOnTheFly #Fish #CatchAndRelease #FishingLife #FlyTying #insta #Outdoors #RegalVise #OffTheGrid #Kellankoski #Finland #Foodie #Wild #WildLife #Conservation #SimpleThings by @austino.murphy
Mother Nature is so amazing. The rivers and lakes of the Adirondacks are sacred waters to me. I’m so grateful for the countless adventures that have connected me to this beautiful place. Over the last two decades, I have traveled here in search of wild trout that feed on the resilient Hexagenia mayflies in the summer. Seeing and hearing hundreds of trout rising to feed on hex flies is an experience that is difficult to put into words. Sadly, wild brook trout and hex flies are harder to find these days. Overfishing, acid rain, warmer water, and the introduction of non-native species are a few key issues related to the decline of brook trout here. Let’s do our part to conserve this amazing natural resource. Rest in peace, Skip Deloria and Hank Allen. Thank you for sharing these waters with me through the years. #Adirondacks #ADK #WildLife #Trout #Conservation #Wild #BrookTrout #HexHatch #MayFly #FlyFishing #DIY #DryFly #WildPlaces #CatchAndRelease #MotherNature #insta #Outdoors #Nature #WildlifePhotography #Fish #KeepemWet #GetOutThere #SeeWhatsOutThere #Smores #OffTheGrid #MatchTheHatch #TraegerOutdoors #Adventure #Fishing by @austino.murphy
The north side of the Everglades is filled with amazing wildlife. You can see so many species of fish and birds here. We had an epic topwater bite for 2 days and caught 8 species of fish. I even managed to clinch the Broward Freshwater Slam (Peacock Bass, Bullseye Snakehead and Largemouth Bass) all on the fly…had a great time fishing with Chad and Justin. Great friends, great food, plenty of fish and lots of laughs…what’s not to like? I woke up this morning feeling thankful for the time I spend in the woods and on the water. I’m also very grateful for my family and friends. This is my take on avocado toast made with fresh greens, figs, lion’s mane mushrooms, and seared venison tenderloin. #LiveSustainably #SustainableFood #FreeRange #Venison #Thanksgiving #Breakfast #WhitetailDeer #BowHunting #TraegerThanksgiving #EatClean #EatWildGame #FindYourFood #SoloHunter #FairChase #FreeRange #LiveWildHuntHard #WildMeat #FreeRangeHunting #NoFences #HuntForFood #DIY #EatWildFood #AdventureSeeker #HealthyFood #HunterGatherer #Chefsplate #Instafoodie #EatLocal #AvocadoToast #TraegerOutdoors @TraegerGrills #TraegerNation #FindYourFood by @austino.murphy
I hope you like these wild elk medallions with basil pumpkin seed pesto and roasted hen of the woods mushrooms. The Colorado archery elk season was challenging this year. Record heat kept the big bulls hidden during daylight hours. Congratulations to my good friend Jesse Swann! He managed to arrow his fifth bull on public land. These hunts are completely DIY without guides and without horses to help pack out meat. Jesse’s grit and determination definitely sets him apart from most bow hunters. #Archery #BowHunt #FindYourFood #LiveSustainably #EatClean #HuntPublicLand #EatWildGame #AdventureSeeker #Bowhunting #BowSeason #EatLocal #Elk #Wapiti #TraegerOutdoors #RokSlide #DIY #NoGuideNeeded #OTC #EliteArchery #WildMushrooms #HenOfTheWoods #Maitake #Kifaru #Zpacks #DuplexTent #WesternMountaineering #Colorado #RockyMountains @TraegerGrills by @austino.murphy
Revisiting Paris: The bread @maisonkayser just hits differently…it’s so amazing. Check out this outstanding boulangerie if you get the chance. I don’t eat breakfast often but when I do, I really enjoy a fresh piece of bread (or croissant) with salted butter & raspberry jam along with a nice dark roast coffee. Also, the view from the @HotelReginaParis is spectacular. Located directly across the street from the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden, it’s such a great place to stay if you want to experience Paris. #Breakfast #BreadAndButter #Coffee #SimpleGoodness #BreakastOfChampions #ThisHitsDifferent #RoomWithAView #HotelReginaParis #JardinDesTuileries #Louvre #GoodMorning #Instafoodie #LiveSustainably #FindYourFood #Fresh #EatLocal #Paris #CityOfLights by @austino.murphy
Take a kid fishing…it will brighten your day. You never know what memories you will create along the way. I had a blast taking Chad and his son Sawyer out on the Egret. The shad fishing picked up nicely when the tide started dropping. #TakeAKidFishing #ReachOneTeachOne #ShadMadness #FishTheSeam #Shad #FlyFishing #TraegerOutdoors #SoFly #EgretBoats #CarbonKevlar #Yamaha #FallingTide #ChesapeakeBayWatershed #Potomac #GoodVibesOnly #Adventure #Fishing by @austino.murphy
Happy New Year! This is a blend of flavors and ingredients including wild deer sausage with homegrown carrots, venison tenderloin, and a variety of ethically sourced seafood. I’m hoping that 2022 is a good year for everyone. So many people are food insecure and hungry. I just donated to @wckitchen They do an amazing job bringing food to those in need throughout the world.
