Hello! I’m Angela. I wanted to introduce myself.

I’m originally from Sydney. I lived in London for 15 yrs then moved to NYC 6 yrs ago.

I became a professional makeup artist at the age of17 I love it so much I’ve never wanted to do anything else.

Most of my commercial work is for major skincare, makeup and fashion brands.. You’ve probably seen my work on top models and celebs in magazines and advertising campaigns in Times Square.

I started Authentic Face Bridal in 2024 to bring my signature natural style to select brides. And because honestly I love the joy and satisfaction I get from making a woman who doesn’t often have their makeup done look and feel amazing.

I help brides transform into the glowiest version of themselves - without loads of makeup.

Some of my favourite things are travel, my dog, cities but also nature, decaf flat whites, jumpsuits and skincare and makeup. Oh! And horse riding.

I’m happy peacefully meditating but I’m also a people person.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Send me a message or fill out the enquiry form on my bio or website🤍

A couple of years ago, my career as a makeup artist of 30 years was stuck and stagnant. The industry I worked in was shrinking (it had wild ups and downs coming out of COVID and was disrupted by AI). It felt claustrophobic, and I felt like there was no way out. I deeply loved what I did and never wanted to do anything else, but I couldn’t keep going when there was no growth, and honestly, neither could my bank account.

I had to AI-proof my work and get out of my comfort zone. This is how I rescued my business and my sanity.

I made the decision to expand and try a couple of adjacent things. I would never leave my agent or shooting completely. I still wanted to do makeup, just in different spaces.

I started doing bridal makeup. I joined a team. I didn’t tell anyone at first because traditionally, in the editorial and commercial world, it was not seen as positive. Usually, makeup artists would do weddings when they were starting out, not 30 years into a successful international career.

But I was at the point of not caring what anyone else thought. And turns out that thinking is so old-school it practically doesn’t exist anymore. And yeah, if it does, who cares?!

I also started giving lessons and sharing my knowledge more — yes, showing up on Instagram. So scary, but glad I’m doing it.

A year and a half or so later, my life has completely transformed. It turns out I actually love working in the bridal world. I get the coolest brides who want the kind of makeup I do (that is not ‘bridal’ makeup), and it’s so rewarding. I feel so lucky to be around so much love and joy and to feel valued.

Ironically, my first love — editorial — is now back and busy too, so I couldn’t ask for more.

I never talk about anything personal on here. Just wanted to share a bit and encourage anyone else who might be thinking about redesigning their own careers or who feels stuck and knows they need to evolve.

There’s a lot more happening in my story I’ll talk about soon.

Hope you follow along, and ask me anything in the comments. 💛

Beautiful Madelyn didn’t want too much makeup - and I always agree with that! But I did what counted and created a version of her that made her feel confident and wedding ready.

Lots of hydrating skincare, very sheer foundation so freckles still showed. Just enough to even out her skintone and match it to the spray tan on her body. Cream highlighters, creamy liquid blush, cream bronzer everything to make her dry skin glow but not so shiny that it photographed greasy.

Madelyn had her lashes lifted and brows tinted a few days before the wedding so we could just use a little clear brow gel, just one cluster lash at the outer corner and one coat of mascara. She was glowing🤍
