Hello!

I figured it was time for a bit of an introduction.

If you are new, welcome!

If you’ve been around for a while, I’m glad you are still here!

What did you read in October?

My summer goal was to read my stack of books by Okanagan authors, but I spent way too much time at the beach. I finally finished that goal this October.

Captured in Frame by the lovely @lauracthomas features a Canadian photographer who finds herself dragged into a criminal art ring when she’s trying to start over in a quaint English village. Laura is an absolute gem, and reading this book made me feel like I was getting a personal tour of England.

Falling Back to You by @authormorgantaylor is the third book of the series and I cannot wait for the fourth to be released this November. My favorite thing about Morgan’s rom-coms is that they are not fluffy. Her characters are gritty, with real life struggles. She’s gifted at alternating between emotional sucker punches and absolutely hilarious scenes. Just look at her dedication: “For…the ones with tired hearts, holding it together with a smile and a prayer. It’s okay to not have it all together, to let others see your mess—give yourself some grace.”

One More Song by @authorannahconwell has the best flashbacks! This second chance romance fluctuates between hope and heartbreak, giving you to say, “One more chapter,” over and over. The first book in this series, The Love Audit, is one of my favorite rom-coms, so I had huge expectations for this book, and Annah did not disappoint.

Romancing the Grump by @jennyproctorbooks is part of the Appies Hockey series, with this one featuring my favorite type of MMC: grumpy and protective. It features fake dating (we all know how that ends), and a very hilarious one bed scene that involves ice cold feet. IYKYK. Absolutely Not In Love (by Jenny) is one of my favorite books, so if you’re wondering where to start, start with that one.

The cover of my book tends to get all the attention, so today I am putting the spotlight on the back cover!

Fun fact, I hate writing book blurbs. It is embarrassing how long it takes me to summarize my passion project.

Misgivings is available on Amazon, KU, Libby, and your library can order a hard copy.

I promise you this ad is 100% AI free. You can tell by the sloppy penmanship and the fact that I drew the picture IN PENCIL because I needed to erase parts of it.

Don’t judge. I’m a writer, not an illustrator.

Misgivings is a second-chance romance, featuring a fierce protector who is willing to chase her halfway around the world, just to keep her safe. It also includes a jerky ex-boyfriend who has a knack for complicating things. This is not a love triangle. You will hate her ex the moment you meet him. I guarantee it.
