🚨 URGENT: We need Puppy Foster Families before the end of November! We have puppies preparing for a very special future, but we urgently need more volunteer families to welcome them into their homes. These puppies could one day become Assistance Dogs, helping autistic children feel safer, more confident and more independent. But before they can begin that journey, they need someone like you. Could you open your home to a future Assistance Dog? We’re urgently recruiting volunteer foster families in Greater Dublin and Munster (Cork, Limerick, Mallow, Mitchelstown, Killarney and Tralee). 🐾 No previous dog training experience needed. 🐾 Food, equipment and veterinary costs are covered. 🐾 Full training and ongoing support from our Puppy Programme team. Fostering is a real commitment, but the difference you could make is extraordinary. We need more families to come forward now. Please don’t wait until November to apply. ❤️ Apply today. Can’t foster? Please share this post. Someone you know could be exactly who our puppies need. by @autismdogsirl
Is it too early to say the C-word? 👀 We hope not, because the AADI Christmas Shop is officially open! We’ve got Christmas cards, pins, handmade bows, dog bowls, our 2027 calendar, cosy hats and lovely gifts for the dog lovers in your life! We can’t wrap up two years of training in a Christmas gift, but your shopping can help make it possible. Every purchase helps us train more life-changing Assistance Dogs for autistic children and their families across Ireland. Shop with purpose this Christmas! 🔗 Link in bio by @autismdogsirl

Meet Kai, one of our future Autism Assistance Dogs, who is currently in advanced training with Martin! Here he is absolutely nailing his settle mat training! This is such an important skill, helping our dogs learn to relax and settle in different environments, wherever life takes them with their future families. And Kai is making it look easy! Well done, Kai! by @autismdogsirl
Halloween can be great fun for us, but for our dogs, it can be a little overwhelming! Between fireworks, unexpected visitors and all the excitement, even the most confident dogs can feel anxious or frightened. A few simple precautions can make a big difference in helping your four-legged friend feel safe and comfortable. Wishing you and your furry friends a safe and happy Halloween! by @autismdogsirl
It's the final day of our October 80K Challenge! What an amazing journey it's been! We're so grateful to everyone who has joined us, walked, fundraised and cheered each other on throughout October. We really do have the BEST community! And here at AADI, there's been a little competition of our own! 👀 Our Assistance Dog Instructors, Laura and Martin, have both smashed the 80K target, proving that training future Assistance Dogs involves A LOT of kilometres! There's still one day to go, so keep those steps (and donations) coming. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey! by @autismdogsirl
WE’VE REACHED €75,000! Thanks to everyone taking part in our October 80K Challenge, we’ve already raised enough to fully train, place and provide ongoing support for THREE Assistance Dogs! Our Founder and CEO, Nuala Geraghty, has a special message to thank you all for your incredible support so far. But we’re not finished yet! ONE MORE DAY TO GO! We’re just €25,000 away from funding a fourth dog. Keep walking, keep sharing and keep fundraising. Let’s finish October strong! by @autismdogsirl
From exploring busy shops and airports to practising settling in cafés and even helping out in the garden, our pups have been busy learning. Every new experience helps our pups build confidence, feel comfortable in different environments and develop the skills they'll need as future Assistance Dogs or School Support Dogs, supporting autistic children, families and schools across Ireland. And behind all these experiences are our amazing Puppy Foster Families ❤️ Our wonderful fosters give their time, patience and love to help our puppies learn and grow through everyday activities. From trips to the shops to quiet moments at home, they're helping prepare these pups for their future roles. A huge thank you to all our foster families for giving our puppies so many opportunities to explore, learn and grow. by @autismdogsirl
When your Assistance Dog means so much to you, why not dress up as the people who trained her? For Halloween Dress-Up Day at school, Jack proudly wore his AADI T-shirt and jacket, transforming himself into an Assistance Dog Instructor. Jack, his Assistance Dog Wednesday, and his wonderful parents, Tara and Conor, have been incredible supporters of AADI, always helping us spread the word about the life-changing difference our dogs make. We think you look brilliant, Jack! 🎃 Show Jack some love in the comments. by @autismdogsirl
