Hello everyone,
About 3 years ago, I had a widow maker heart attack. Coming face to face with death was an experience that I am so grateful for. I have learned many things about life and how precious it is. In this journey of discovery, I have been inspired to write a book about our son, Brock. We lost him over 20 years ago to Anencephaly. The moment will stick with me forever, yet in writing his story, I have learned many lessons about life and the importance of gratitude. I hope that in writing Brock’s story that I can pass along a little of what I have learned as a result of this experience. Please check out Brock Smith and the Dagger of Souls. My hope is that his story will inspire others to live their life as an adventure.@brocksmithandthedaggerofsouls #adventure #book #fantasy #books #grateful by @autumn_sunsets

We all face grief and loss in life. For my wife and I, it has been over 20 years since we lost our son, Brock. How do we move forward from these moments in our lives?
For me it has been writing Brock’s story. I have been given a chance to get to know both he and his friends. This journey has been a wild ride, a true tale of finding one’s way in a world full of adventure, trials, dragons, love, friendship, grief, destiny, and finding one’s purpose. I invite you to check out Brock’s story. In addition to the novel, my family has helped create an original soundtrack for the book that has been released on Spotify. Seeing double. What a fun adventure this trip to the woods was for me. I was very fortunate to stumble across these siblings exploring the forest together. #naturephotography #photography #writing #author #nature by @autumn_sunsets
