Why?👇

Clear, off white and white colors can stain and colors like orange and gold can contrast against teeth making them appear more yellow #bracescolors #braces #teeth #dentaltips #hygenist by @avalene.r

As the holidays approach playing with the braces colors can be so much fun but super important is actually brushing above, below and in your braces to avoid white spots #bracescolors #braces by @avalene.r

Hard, sticky and gummy candy are on the no list as they can damage your braces. In general many candy are loaded with sugar or are acidic which can encourage cavities #braces by @avalene.r

This can be a sign of a fungal infection called angular cheilitis. Make sure you tell your dentist if this is happening to you. Here are some reasons this can occur.

✨Saliva pooling at the corners, from licking your lips, drooling during sleep, or a habit of pressing your lips together. The constant moisture softens the skin and lets it.

✨Yeast or bacterial infection, especially Candida, which often thrives in that moist fold of skin.

✨Ill-fitting dentures or a worn bite, which can leave the corners of the mouth folded and damp.

✨Dryness or cold, windy weather, which strips the lips of oil.

✨Nutritional deficiencies, particularly iron, zinc, B vitamins, or folate.

✨Medical conditions such as diabetes, anemia, or immune problems, which can make the skin more prone to infection.
