POSTS STORIES REELS

gimme lovers who actually have reason to hate/fear each other. give me a relationship that’s inevitable and calamitous. gimme the YEARNING, but muddy it with prophecy, duty, catastrophic magic, and divine monsters who just want to eat, already. 😈✨❤️‍🔥

I want the pull, I want the tension, I want the banter and the romance, but I want it to feel electrifying and addictive in a way that welcomes the darkness. I don’t just want them to kiss; I want them to be afraid of what happens when they do.

which is more or less EXACTLY what’s goin’ on for our main characters in PROJECT HAWTHORN. two people who are, for better or for worse, bound together by meddling gods and a past that won’t stay dead, who have to reckon with whether or not they’re driven by fate or choice. you know, just your regular, light-as-air palette cleanser 😅😅

ANYWAY, don’t we all just LOVE a good love story?! 🖤🖤🖤

oh you know, just some very specific things I’m looking for in gothic fantasy, absolutely not motivated in ANY way by my current WIP… if these vibes are your cup of tea, follow me! I’m writing the *perfect* book for you.

also i know I’m about 12 years late to this trend, but since worldbuilding is the name of the game in drafting, these things are all i can think about.

shoutout to @**elizabeth.isliterate for the inspiration!**

meet me in five of my favorite things from different categories!! 💫

part of loving art, to me, is *consuming* art in many forms. and boy oh boy, do i LOVE to consume art: books, tv, movies, video games, GIMME ALL YOUR CREATIVE ENDEAVORS!!!!! what i love most of all is a good story, pretty much independent of genre (as you can see from my taste in shows…).

and no, i do NOT want to talk about the witcher netflix show. iykyk.

I love a good eldritch monster (and have populated my fictional world with several!!), but when it comes to writing them?!?! taking it day by day for SURE.

although I recently read a horror scene to my friend and she said it was “nightmare-inducing”, so…I think I should take that as a compliment?!

i’ll just be coasting through my draft, minding my own business, when out of NOWHERE I’ll stumble upon a brilliant twist that i foreshadowed and then forgot about that would fix….every plot hole?!?!?! maybe I’m NOT as bad at this as my internal critic wants me to believe???? 😬🫨😅❤️‍🔥

writers/authors: anyone else experience this?!?

is it normal to cycle through 47 different emotions every 30 mins when drafting?!? asking for myself, not a friend, because the emotional whiplash is….jarring 🫨😬🥴🫠

oops, my hand slipped and caused catastrophic, incomprehensible tragedy for my characters 😬🤭🤷🏻‍♀️

honestly, me having a good writing day usually means they’re having a very BAD day.I’m having a very good writing day, which, unfortunately for my characters, usually means they’re having a very BAD day. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤭
