A little reflection ⛅💧🌱💫

What if the energy we bring into the world begins with the relationship we have with ourselves?

On my morning walk, I stopped to watch tiny drops of water falling from a tree into a puddle left behind by this morning’s storm.

Every time I witness ripples forming in water, I find myself amazed by the beautiful, almost perfect circles that begin at a single point and gently expand outward.

There's something about watching this simple movement that reminds me of the energy we carry within ourselves and how its influence can reach far beyond where it began.

The way we speak to ourselves, the patience we practice, the compassion we cultivate, and the awareness we bring to our thoughts and emotions can influence how we show up for others.

Sometimes it's in the smallest moments. The way we listen, the kindness we offer, or simply how we make someone feel in our presence.

What if the energy we cultivate within ourselves creates ripples far beyond what we can see?

Perhaps the change we wish to see in the world begins with what we choose to cultivate within ourselves. 🤍🫶🏻🌱

A little reminder 💚🌿

Perhaps one of the most beautiful realizations in life is that there was never anything we needed to wait for to experience happiness.

Somewhere along the way, we begin to associate happiness with big experiences, exciting moments, and extraordinary events.

But as we grow, perhaps we begin to realize that happiness doesn't always have to feel exciting. Sometimes, it's the quiet joy of feeling connected to ourselves, to the people we love, and to the life happening right in front of us.

It's spending time doing what we love, with the people we love. It's laughter, meaningful conversations, a beautiful morning, or simply being present enough to appreciate what's already here.

Maybe the magic of life has always been woven into these ordinary moments, and happiness isn't something we finally arrive at, but something we learn to recognize along the way.

What if the life we're waiting to enjoy is already happening in the moments we're rushing through? 💚

A gentle reminder 💚🌱🦍☀️

I believe strength can come in many forms, and perhaps one we don't always recognize is our willingness to look within ourselves with curiosity, patience, love and compassion.

To sit with our thoughts, listen to our hearts, and become curious about what our minds and bodies are trying to communicate.

Sometimes our first instinct is to push away an uncomfortable feeling, distract ourselves, or find a way to make it disappear.

But what if we gave ourselves a moment to understand it instead?

Why did that situation affect me so deeply? Where is this reaction coming from? What might my body be responding to?

Not every thought is a fact, not every emotion tells the whole story, and not every physical sensation has a simple explanation.

Yet when we approach our experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, we give ourselves an opportunity to recognize patterns, understand our needs, and respond with greater awareness.

Perhaps strength isn't always about pushing through what we feel. Sometimes it's found in our ability to pause, listen to ourselves, and approach what we discover with understanding rather than judgment.

And maybe that, too, is an important part of caring for our health. 💚

A little reminder 💚🌿🌈

We are not so different from the wind, the sky, and the waves.

We change direction, our emotions rise and fall, and we experience moments of sunshine and storms.

Yet how often do we expect ourselves to have everything figured out and life to go as planned?

Perhaps nature reminds us of something we already know. Change is part of life, feelings come and go, and not everything is within our control.

And maybe it's not always about learning something new, but creating enough quiet to listen to ourselves and remember what truly matters.

Sometimes letting go simply means giving ourselves the freedom to feel, to change, and to be.

Breathe in and let go. 💚🌿💫

On my walk this morning, I noticed the beautiful reflection of the moon on the lake. 🌕🌙🌿

It was such a peaceful little moment.

It got me thinking about how we often spend so much of our lives learning about the world around us. We learn how our bodies work, how to care for others, and how to navigate the many responsibilities of life.

But how often do we take the time to get to know ourselves?

To learn and become curious about our thoughts, to understand our emotions, to recognize our fears, and to listen to the voice within us that sometimes gets lost in the noise of everyday life.

After two decades in nursing, I've come to appreciate that caring for our health goes beyond nourishing and strengthening our bodies. It also includes the relationship we cultivate with our own minds.

Perhaps getting to know ourselves is a lifelong practice. One that begins with a little curiosity, awareness, and compassion.

And maybe the more we understand the world within us, the more intentionally we can experience the world around us. 🌿💙🌕

A little reminder 💚🌿

Sometimes we don't realize how much we need a moment of stillness until we give ourselves one.

On a little family get away.. no yoga mat this morning, just a blanket on the porch, the sounds of nature, and a gentle breeze.

It reminded me that connecting with ourselves doesn't require a perfect place, a routine, or anything special.

Sometimes it's simply giving ourselves the time to sit, breathe, listen, and enjoy being present.

And maybe that's one of the most beautiful things we can give ourselves. 💚

A friendly reminder to our hearts. 💚🌿🌱

While listening to Tony Robbins on my walk the other day, something he shared stayed with me, and I thought I'd pass it along for anyone who might need this reminder too.

I believe we can learn to be our own best friend, to encourage ourselves, believe in ourselves, and become more aware of the words and meanings we carry within us.

What happens to us is one part of our experience. What we come to believe about ourselves because of it is another.

How often do we let one experience tell us who we are?

A disappointment becomes “I'm not enough.” Someone's reaction becomes “I don't matter.” And the meaning we give a moment can become a belief we carry for years.

But what happens when we pause and ask, “Is there another way to understand this?”

We can acknowledge what hurts while questioning what we have decided it says about us.

Someone else's opinion doesn't determine our worth. A difficult chapter doesn't define our whole life.

A little reminder that we have a say in the meaning we carry forward. And there is something beautiful and freeing in remembering that. 💚🌱

Sometimes, it’s all about perspective. 🌸🩷

I noticed this tiny flower on my walk today. So small, it would have been easy to miss.

As I brought my camera closer, it filled the picture, revealing a beauty that was harder to see from a distance.

It made me think about the way we see our own lives. How a different angle can reveal something we hadn’t considered, understood, or appreciated before.

A little reminder that there is often more to see and understand than we first realize. 🌸

Have a little faith.. in yourself 🐦‍⬛🧡✨

How often do we look for reassurance around us while overlooking our own voice?

The love we carry, the wisdom we’ve gathered, and what matters to our hearts deserve our attention, too.

Nature helps us reconnect with that part of ourselves. Its beautiful rhythms invite us to pause, listen, and feel connected to the life around us, and the love within us.

A little reminder to have faith in our own hearts, and to give what we hear inside us a place in how we live. 🧡☀️

A little reflection 🐊✨

As this alligator glides through the water, so much of its strength lies beneath the surface.

We carry quiet strength, too. Getting to know our thoughts, feelings, and reactions helps us understand what is guiding us and gives us room to respond with care for ourselves and others.

A little reminder that what we cultivate within ourselves finds its way into how we move through the world. 💫

A beautiful reminder to your heart 💜

The way we care for ourselves influences the way we show up for others.

When we cultivate kindness, patience, understanding, and love within our own hearts, those qualities naturally become part of what we share with the people around us.

What we nurture within ourselves has a way of reaching far beyond us. 💜✨

A tiny reflection 🧡✨

Every step we count begins with a body that is already doing something extraordinary. 💫

The sun rises, the trees exchange gases with the atmosphere, our hearts beat, and our lungs fill with every breath.

There is so much beauty in the way nature works, including within us.

And how wonderful that something as simple as a breath makes it possible to experience so much of what we love about life. 🌿
