Update 10/31/26: Funds are covered!! Thank you so much everyone! 🥹❤️ Hello guys! Just wanted to give everyone an update on Fay. For those who’ve been following her journey, Fay was rescued from an encampment back in September. Since then, she’s been in temporary foster and boarding/training while we kept working on her next opportunity. So we finally have a foster to adopt opportunity in Washington! Her potential foster is flying into San Francisco next Thursday, where we’ll be meeting her with Fay :) Unfortunately, my car isn’t in the condition to make that drive, so I’m trying to raise funds for a rental and gas to get her there ($400 for car rental+Gas) I’ll be posting receipts as well. Always transparency! I originally set up a GoFundMe, but realized the funds might not be available in time for the trip. Since we’re on a tight timeline, I’ll be collecting donations directly through Venmo instead to help get her there on time! If anyone is able to pitch in, I’d really appreciate the help! 🙏🏼 Let’s keep saving more babies! My Venmo is linked on my bio in case you feel inclined to help 🐾❤️ Venmo: Mmjlvc Cashapp: $wildchii by @awesomeblssom
Fay is STILL waiting for her people! ♥️ And we need to find her a foster or forever home as soon as possible! No later than 11/4/2026! At just 4 months old, this little Belgian Shepherd/Malinois mix has so much personality! She’s affectionate, social, a little mischievous AND loves a good game of tug-of-war 🥰 She’s wonderful with other dogs and even helps the shy ones come out of their shells! ✨♥️ Fay was rescued from a homeless encampment and has been in boarding while we continue searching for a foster or forever family. Oh & more about Fay: 🐾 4 months old | Located in LA 🐾 Dog-friendly, affectionate & playful 🐾 Moderate puppy energy (iykyk) 🐾 Crate-trained & learning basic commands (knows sit!) 🐾 She loves to play in water 🐾 Up to date on vaccinations 🐾 Not yet spayed due to her age 🐾 Can be an only dog or have canine siblings She’s got her whoooole life ahead of her and I’d love nothing more than to see her grow up with a family of her own. Interested in fostering or adopting? Please reach out to @thek9woman @healinghoundsrescue for serious inquiries. If you can’t take her home, please share her reel! I’m also willing to personally drive Fay up to 4 hours for the right foster or forever home! Distance doesn’t have to stand in the way of finding her the right family!♥️ Let’s save some babies! by @awesomeblssom
The bat survived. Now she’s looking for her next victim… I mean, forever family 🦇😂 DM @thek9woman for adoption inquiries! This is a final plea for deserving Hunter Hunter A5803496 4yr Neutered 72hr notice sent 10/12 at Downey Animal Care Center . He needs help ans deserves to be seen to be known. He has had no interest . He is 4 years old and 67 pounds . If you are able to long term foster him and know of a reputable 501C3 rescue that can support Hunter please have them email the shelter asap . If you are interested in meeting Hunter and responsibly life long adopting him please email the shelter asap. 💔Downey dogs have had no interest and we can only do so much . Please share our dogs and cats “Hunter was taken to the catch pen and was collared/leashed without incident. Hunter greeted the dogs at the barrier nicely and was allowed into the lay yard. Hunter displayed a relaxed body, open mouth pant, natural ear set, loose tail wag, natural ear set, and soft eyes Hunter approached the dogs eagerly greeting them. Some of the dogs appeared “uncomfortable” with Hunters approach and he was easily steered. Hunter continued to approach dogs and gave them play bows, but it took time for him to find a dog to play with. They briefly played chase but stopped after some time. Hunter continued to socialize maintaining a loose/wigg meanor. Hunter also spent time amongst the handlers soliciting petting from them with a loose wiggly demeanor. Hunt maintained a social and playful demeanor displaying a push/pull play style. Hunter could benefit from basic manners training. Hunter is ok for public adoption medium energy level large dogs ok.” 📣 please put Hunter name and ID in the caption of your emails Public email: ACCDowney@animalcare.lacounty.gov Rescue email : DACCDowneyRescue@animalcare.lacounty.gov Hunter you are loved no matter what happens Thanks to @awesomeblssom for meida of Hunter and visiting Hunter by @awesomeblssom

When people ask why I keep coming back for these dogs, this is why. I’m simply a vessel for them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️‍🩹 by @awesomeblssom
Hi guys! Meet Hussle! 🐾 Look at this beautiful soul 🥺 There’s something about those eyes that just gets me. Hussle is 6 years old and recently lost his owner 💔 I can’t imagine what that kind of loss feels like for a dog. Genuinely. One day your person is there and the next they’re gone. His family already has other dogs in the home and while they’re doing everything they can for him right now, but keeping him isn’t an option. So I’m stepping in to help find this handsome stoic looking boy somewhere safe to land. And I really want to give his family credit here. Our shelters are already FULL and instead of surrendering him they’re working with what they have and giving us a chance to find him a home. Now a lil about Hussle! 6 years old Pitty Mix Neutered Approximately 40–50 lbs Sweet, affectionate and loves giving hugs! Great with people and KIDS! Has lived with other dogs, although he does guard his food, so separate feedings are necessary. Located in OC 📍 I’m hoping we can find a rescue, foster or loving adopter willing to give Hussle a chance. PLEASE reach out if you can help, and share him if you can’t! He’s already lost the person he knew and loved. I’d hate for his next stop to be a shelter, especially with how things are right now. by @awesomeblssom
I knew I needed to make this post because I’m going to continue going back to Wilmington and there’s going to be one very noticeable little face missing from my videos. Brookie won’t be there anymore. For the last few years, I’ve kept coming back to these pups however I could. Food, supplies, baths, vet help or just checking on them. Even when I couldn’t make it myself, I’d try to arrange for someone else to check on them. & credit where it belongs, I’m not the first, only or last person to help these dogs. Other people & organizations have shown up for them too and I’m grateful for that. Somewhere along the way tho, they simply became my Wilmington pups. When Brookie was hit by the semi, I wasn’t the person who brought her to the animal hospital, so I wasn’t getting updates from the beginning. Her owner wasn’t able to come back for her and the hospital couldn’t reach her. By the time I got involved, Brookie had already lost her leg. My first thought was simple. Figure out the money & get her home. But we had just lost Feisty weeks before and Brookie had now survived something that could’ve easily killed her. I went back to Wilmington & had a really difficult conversation with her owner. We both knew Brookie going back there as a brand new tripod just wasn’t safe. Because she’s microchipped under my name, I had to sign the paperwork. Together, we made the decision to relinquish her to the animal hospital so they can continue her care & eventually find her a home. So when you don’t see Brookie in my Wilmington videos anymore, this is why. She didn’t disappear. She wasn’t forgotten, she wasn’t abandoned & she’s safe. Brookie & I have been through a lot. From everyone coming together to help me get her out of the shelter to all the days I spent with her in Wilmington. Somewhere along the way we really bonded. I was always looking out for her & somehow she was always watching my back too. I never gave up on you, Brookie girl. Sometimes loving them means accepting that what’s best for them is going to hurt you too. You spent all those years watching my back. I guess this was my turn to make sure nothing could hurt you again. 🤍 by @awesomeblssom
Fays applications are still open for finding her forever home 🏡 She is understanding her potty routines and doing great ! She’s very intelligent and seems to catch on fairly quick. She’s sassy and fun- and will always keep a smile on your face ! She loves baby carrots 🥕 She loves to play with dogs but especially big huge dogs 🐕 She’s nothing short of the cutest thing ever ! She’s definitely not your average puppy 🥰 Fay will need a home with someone who will help continue her training and give her lots of mental stimulation as well as exercise- she loves to adventure and explore !⛰️ by @awesomeblssom
Still pushing for this little family 💔 For anyone just seeing their story: these dogs were believed to have been abandoned on a property in Compton. We later learned the owners hadn’t abandoned them they stopped caring for them. They stopped feeding and caring leaving the puppies to fend for themselves. Their dad was last seen malnourished, thin and is believed to have died from starvation 😔 The neighbors stepped in and have been watching over the puppies for the past two weeks while continuing to feed and give water to Mama, who is still on the property. There are 6 puppies, around 4/5 months old, plus Mama around 2 years old... just a baby herself! One puppy needs immediate veterinary care like yesterday We now have rescue interest, we need pledges to help make it happen. $5, $10, $20, whatever you can comfortably pledge please comment below Can’t pledge? Share the heck out of them. We’re going to keep being their voice until they make it out. by @awesomeblssom
