Sir David Attenborough reminds us: the ocean is the heartbeat of our planet.

From the tiniest boxfish to the legendary thresher shark — every dive reveals why we must protect it.

Oldie, but Goldie! 🤩✌🏼

Creating bubble rings on your safety stop is “Such A Great Activity”! 🤩

Try experimenting with different hand positions, using both hands, a single hand, or even your thumbs. 🙌✋👍🏼

You can also add an element of surprise by doing it with your mask on for a unique twist. 🤿

Enjoy playing with the bubbles! 🫧

Everyone said to use proper ski-jumping skis. I said no. 😂

Lillehammer, 2010. Children’s plastic skis, a cross-country suit with zero aerodynamic lift, and absolutely no reason to believe this was a good idea.

96 metres. Safe landing. 🤣🤘🏼

Don’t try this at home. 😂

Just casually applying for a Red Bull sponsorship 😂🥤
I’ll bring the backflips. You bring the wings. 🪽

The second scorpion I’ve encountered this week.

One careful move… straight to the tail.

Just a wild little creature that needed to be somewhere else.

Released unharmed. 🦂 by @axukokkonen

People sometimes ask what my life is actually about…

Well, somewhere between a good amount of scuba diving, chasing sharks and whales, filming tiny creatures nobody notices, travelling around the world, living out of dive bags, looking after three dogs, and constantly finding new ways to make life more complicated… there’s Carlotta. 😂❤️

She’s Italian/Argentinian. I’m Finnish/Norwegian. She’s a underwater photographer. Together, we somehow turned all of this madness into @cinematicdepths 🎥🌊

From Thailand, Komodo, the Philippines and Indonesia, we’ve shared dives, boats, airports, crazy encounters, long days, beautiful places and probably more underwater time than is considered normal.

She sees the picture. I chase the shot.
And somehow, it works.

Not exactly the conventional life… but I wouldn’t trade it for one. ❤️

This is us. This is our life. And there’s still a lot more ocean to explore. 🌊🐋🦈 by @axukokkonen

Four nationalities in one shot! 🤣✌🏼🇫🇮🇳🇴🇦🇷🇮🇹 by @axukokkonen

Camera ready. Heart racing. Eyes locked on the horizon.

“Is it a blue whale?” 🐋

Seconds later… the ocean answered.

Meeting a pygmy blue whale wasn’t just another dive. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I want to be “one with the water”! 💦🌊🤩

Sometimes the best footage starts long before you press record.

My logbook isn’t just a record of dives—it’s a collection of memories from a lifetime underwater and above. 🌊📖 by @axukokkonen

How was it actually 20 years ago?!🤩💪🏼 by @axukokkonen

The routine that keeps my camera alive underwater. 🎥
Small tools, simple steps, no shortcuts.

Do it right on the surface— so you don’t regret it at depth. 🌊 by @axukokkonen

Them: Who’s going to take care of you when you’re older?
Me: My Divemaster. We age like fine neoprene 😂
