Them + my bffs at home = my lifeline 🫶

This year brought hit after hit and it seems as though just as one finishes and I can come up for air, something else hits me again square in the face 😵‍💫

And the very same goes for all of these women I spent a weekend of crafting, hiking, & sitting down 😮‍💨 with. When we list them out, it’s actually wild that we’re all still standing.

But we know why we still are 🤝 it’s because we have each other.

I am also lucky enough to have my oldest, bestest friends here at home who also have kept me afloat, taken care of me, and have seen me through every single stage of my lifetime and never left 😭 @kortney.norris @canndury @libby_farley @emmcclure4 😘

If this year has been rough for you, too, let this be your sign to plan a trip away in the mountains with no real plans. It’s healing on every single level 🌄

Love you allllllll ❤️ @woodandcostudiogifts @sara_wiles @az_andco @indianatanner2 @quincycaldwell @reflektions_

Amazing Alyse,

I don’t even know how to put this into words in a way that feels big enough. But it’s your birthday so it’s a good day to try.

Yes, you’ve built systems for Rainmaker that have changed everything. You’ve brought structure, clarity, and a sense of calm to my business that I didn’t know was possible. You introduced me to some of the smartest, most talented women business-owners, who are now a part of Rainmaker too.

But that’s not even the best part of you.

You are such a steady, thoughtful, honest voice in my life.

The kind of person who sees me clearly, tells me the truth, and helps me move forward when things feel big or messy or uncertain. You don’t only support my business, you support me. 💛

And then there’s this part, which still amazes me.

You are my friend. A real, deep, meaningful friend that I found in my 40s. We all know how rare that is.

My crystal collecting energy confidant who loves all things woo. ✨

To build something this real, this trusting, especially when it started virtually, is something I don’t take for granted for a second.

I appreciate you more than I can explain. I feel so lucky that you are in my life, in my business, and in my corner every day.

Xoxo,
Margaret

Happy 14th Birthday to my first born. 🥳

My Morgaroo.

You have taught me so much about being a better mom and human in this world. I could not be more proud of the young woman you have become and can’t wait to watch your light continue to shine bright in the years to come. ✨

Can you relate? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I recently had a call with a long-time friend in biz….and when I say long-time it’s been like 3 years. That’s long right?

She reached out because she’s been so busy with client work, that she’s neglected her own systems, and because her offerings have changed, her processes have gone off the rails a bit too. 🫠

She’s growing pretty quickly 🚀 which is an amazing thing, but it’s left her feeling behind and disorganized…which is her least favorite thing. 👎🏼

But she’s been hesitant to outsource this for herself. Why? Because she 100% has the skills to do it on her own.

And that has prevented her from taking action because she keeps telling herself she will get to it….eventually. 🤔

Let me say this…just because you CAN do it, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. 💯

If it will relieve you from the mental load it carries and the pressure you put on yourself, that alone is worth it. 🥰

So we locked in a Half VIP Day which will totally get her systems back to working for her, not against her.

Do you feel this way about your business too? I’m guilty too friend.

How I knew it was time to level up ⬇️

It’s been almost 4️⃣ years since I started my business and quite frankly, I’m in a rut. A comfortable one.

You always know it’s time for a change when you’re getting tired of your own 💩.

So what prompted this?

It came about after a meeting I was having with a client who wants to scale but needs a strategy to do so.

We were brainstorming like we do 🤯 and the ideas we came up with left me super excited and energized. For her, but also for me perhaps? 🤔

Why do we come up with the best ideas for our clients but then struggle to implement them for ourselves? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know I’m not the only one in this right?

So I’ve got things brewing. And I’m smart enough to know that I won’t be able to fully dedicate myself to this until the girls go back to school.💯

But in the meantime…I can plan ✅

So stay tuned friends…we shall see what comes about.

And tell me, what gets you out of a biz rut?

Unpopular opinion 🔥

Amazon lover (and spender) over here so I’m not throwing any shade.😉

BUT if you won’t hire support in your business because you “don’t have the money”, but find yourself adding to cart far too often perhaps it’s time for a second look. 🛒👀

How you spend your money is your prerogative and maybe you do NEED that new TV with the epic deal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But what if you put that money into your business instead?

Into investing in yourself? 🥰

➡️ Whether that means hiring someone to support you for 10 hours a month.

➡️ Or hiring a coach/mentor to hold you accountable to your goals.

➡️ Or booking a VIP Day and getting a project knocked out for you in one days time when you know it would take you much, much longer. (or never get done).

There are different ways to invest in your business that will have a longer lasting effect than the deals you find on the internet. 💯

Just sayin’...do you agree?

Here’s what works for me ⬇️

I’ve been there. And still go there from time to time.

But to get out of that mindset, here are a few things that work for me:

✌️Permission to unfollow anyone who makes you feel like shit when you see their content. Byeeee.

⏳ Schedule time to be on this app and stick to it. Jump on to post, engage, and share. Doom scrolling be gone.

🥰 Take some sort of action that will move your business forward. This re-energizes you and your purpose.

And remember, comparing yourself to someone else will get you absolutely nowhere because no one can do what you do, exactly the way you do it.

⬆️ I repeat this to myself too friend.

You got this. Keep going. ❤️

Be sure to follow and share with a friend who might need to hear this message today. 🙏🏼

I’ll wait ⏳

Any online business owner knows that summer is typically the slowest cycle in business 🫠.

I’ve learned this over the past few years so I know it’s coming. And I’ve learned how to manage during this time without losing my damn mind.

Yes, I do appreciate a slower season and time home with my kids 🤔. But I get over it real quick too. 💯

And typically when the kiddos go back to school, is when people come out of the woodwork looking for support. 🙋🏻‍♀️

So if you’re someone who is chillin’ this summer and won’t kick into gear until the fall, good for you 👏👏👏

But if your a service provider who is tired of hearing crickets 🦗over the summer, it will change my friend.

It always does. ❤️

So maybe we can try to enjoy this time too? I know it’s hard, but let’s do it anyway. 😎

If you know you’ll need support soon, follow me, save this post and come back when you’re ready.

Happy Summer ☀️
