Hi, I’m Baci!

It’s really nice to meet you. I am the certified educator behind Baci’s Learning Land - a space that encourages curiosity, questions and wonder with the goal of learning something new all while playing games and having fun!

A little about me: I loved psychology as long as I can remember and thus, embarked on a journey of learning since undergrad which focused on Child development, Psychology and Language acquisition. My curiosity grew which led me to complete my Master’s degree in Child Studies and Education while completing various certificates such as one for Early Childhood Education. Through my professional years in the classroom, I have completed more training in various areas with the focus on improving the learning experiences for children.

The videos are mindful of the child’s development and therefore is filmed in a way that is at a slower pace and in a calm demeanour.

I can’t wait to share more teaching strategies and skills while explaining the rationale behind it to hopefully help both little learners and educators alike 💕.

POV: low stimulation actually keeps them watching 👀

This is the letter T. It sounds like /t/. Say it with me — t, t, turkey.

No flashing. No yelling. Just one sound, one toy, time to answer.

As a certified educator (M.Ed in Child Study & Education) with over 10 years in the classroom, I noticed how sensory-fatiguing modern children’s media has become.

That is why Baci’s Learning Land is slow on purpose. We model purposeful play, natural acoustic repetition, and real-life validation rather than cheap, flashing digital rewards.

🌸 What we practiced on the carpet today:
• Slow-paced letter learning and phonics 🔤
• Early numeracy and pattern matching 🔢
• Mindful breathing to gently navigate big toddler feelings 🐝

Save this reel for the next time you need a quiet, screen-safe 10 minutes for your little neighbor 🤍

POV: you’re helping prove calm videos teach.

Not a trend — this is the whole reason I make these. Parents tell me constantly that they want screen time that doesn’t leave their toddler wired, and they’ve been told that doesn’t exist.

So here’s what it actually looks like: one toy. One number at a time. Slow pacing. A familiar friend on screen. And a little one who stays regulated instead of peaked.

No flashing. No frantic cuts. No loop engineered to hook them.

Counting 1-2-3-4-5 with a sensory water table — that’s it. That’s the whole video.

Save this if you’ve been looking for calm screen time that still teaches. 🐝

A counting rhyme for toddlers — no flashing lights, no fast cuts.
Three little turkeys played at a table. One walked away… and now there’s two. Count with me: one, two.
Counting down like this builds 1-to-1 correspondence and early subtraction long before a child can say the word “subtraction.” Ages 2–4.
Save it for Thanksgiving week — and for the calm, low-stimulation versions of phonics and numeracy, the full episodes are on YouTube (link in bio) 🤍

“Share!” is the most common thing we say at the playground — and one of the least effective.
Child development research shows forced sharing doesn’t teach generosity. It can create resentment and fear around play. Toddlers don’t yet have the impulse control to understand true sharing.
So instead of asking for the toy, teach turn-taking:
“JP, you can give the dinosaur to your friend when you’re finished your turn.”
That one sentence teaches boundaries, patience, and how to enjoy a task without the fear of it being taken away.
Save this for your next park trip. And for calm, low-stimulation learning built for ages 2–5, the full versions live on YouTube — link in bio 🤍

Everyone told me toddlers can’t pay attention. So I tested it on my own.

This is a little one watching one of my videos. No flashing lights. No fast cuts. No music racing underneath. Just a real banana, a piece of bread, and a voice giving them time to answer.

Research on toddler attention keeps pointing the same direction: young children don’t need more stimulation to engage — they need less competing stimulation so they can engage. That’s the entire design brief behind my channel.

I’m a certified educator (M.Ed., Child Study & Education) with ten years in the classroom, and this is the version of screen time I actually wanted for my own child.

Save this if you’ve been looking for calm alternatives to the overstimulating stuff. And tell me — does your toddler watch slowly, or do they need the fast stuff?

This is what “low stimulation” actually looks like.
One dinosaur. Then another. Then another. Slow pace, one thing at a time, a real adult voice, and no cartoon chaos competing for attention.
The research conversation about toddler screen time is genuinely messy — and most parents I talk to aren’t looking for a study, they’re looking for permission to put something calm on for 15 minutes without feeling like they’ve done damage.
That’s what this channel is. Montessori-led, teacher-built, 20 minutes, ends with a breathing exercise and a quiet carpet, not a dopamine spike.
Save this for the next time someone makes you feel bad about screen time — and send it to a parent who needs the calm version. 🦕

When your toddler mispronounces a word, should you correct them?

Short answer: No — not directly.

Direct correction can cause communication anxiety — they stop wanting to talk.

Try recasting instead: just repeat it back correctly.

Child: “Look, a twock!”
You: “Yes! This is a big yellow truck!”

You validate their thought while modeling the perfect phonetic blueprint.

This is what I use in my classroom every day to accelerate grammar growth — without pressure.

"Good listening!" feels positive, but motivation research shows blanket evaluative praise teaches toddlers to rely on external applause over internal satisfaction.Swap it for objective description. Name the precise action + link it to the real-world outcome:
