It is with great sadness I am writing this post today.

Our beautiful Matilda who was booked in for the Magic Millions camp draft last week, came down with a very bad hoof abses which caused a blood infection.

Unfortunately with all the help of West Vets in Brisbane we lost her to the illness which has devestated Libby and myself.

I want to thanks all those who tried to save Matilda at West Vets in Brisbane who did everything possible to assist her.

Matilda, our first born will always have a special place in everyone's heart that worked with her during the early days as a foal, training under halter with Richard, shoeing with Steve Costin and the many other interactions Matilda had with family and friends. 😪..... by @backflowcentral

Our lovely thoroughbred Mia gave birth to a filly early today father (sire)is CASTELVECCHIO.
Both doing well with this delivery today the final this season and with all fouls doing well we go into to Christmas feeling proud of all our lovely mares who have been excellent mothers. by @backflowcentral

Matilda gaining some stand alone on halter patience experience today. This little filly likes to think she can dictate the terms of engagement so she's a bit upset she can't leave her hay bag when she wants to today.
This along with a fresh water hose down experience for the first time also today has been very good for her while being carefully watched by yours truly to make sure she doesnt hurt herself. by @backflowcentral

Very sad to have said goodbye to my 93 year old father Bernie Heron last week.
This picture was taken at the Hoey Moe Hotel where Dad and my boys and brother had many sessions.
Fittingly we held Dads wake at the Hoey on Friday and we had a few for him. Going to miss you mate. Rest in peace Dad. by @backflowcentral
