Inédit tiré de la session d'enregistrement de mon premier album "Cookies & Motoriders" (2015), à retrouver depuis peu dans la compilation "Herbes Folles".

A l'époque j'étais fasciné par Marlène Jobert et les Sons of Anarchy...un doux mélange 🧐

Enregistré en 2014 avec Cédric Maurer @eyesshakerband aux manettes, à l'orgue et à la guitare, @noefrankle à la batterie, @initial_d.d et @kalomango aux chœurs !

Entre 2008 et 2019, The Rebels of Tijuana ont sorti 5 EP vinyles 4 titres en format 25cm, qui sont
venus ponctuer leur discographie entre deux albums. Ces EP sont regroupés pour la première fois
dans une même compilation. A travers ces 20 titres, on se plonge dans la trajectoire d’un combo qui a
évolué stylistiquement au fil des années. Des premiers tubes yéyé « Ma Jaguar », « Les Filles
d’Angleterre » au garage plus sombre d’ « Elle Triomphe » ou la pop baroque de « Pampa , on
retrouve dans cette collection une majorité de titres qui ont fait le succès du groupe.

Between 2008 and 2019, The Rebels of Tijuana released five 4-track vinyl EPs in 10inch format, which
punctuated their discography between two albums. These EPs are now being brought together for the
first time in a single compilation. Through these 20 tracks, we delve into the trajectory of a band that
has evolved stylistically over the years. From the early yéyé hits ‘MaJaguar’ and ‘Les Filles
d'Angleterre’ to the darker garage sound of ‘Elle Triomphe’ and the baroque pop of "Pampa ,this
collection features most of the tracks that made the band so successful.

Kacimi s'est enfermé pendant trois jours, en septembre 2024, dans le studio Back To Mono de Christian Hierro à Lyon pour une session live. Accompagné de son groupe, La Mécréance, ce nouvel opus a été enregistré sur un magnétophone 8 pistes dans les conditions d'un concert, doté d'un microphone par musicien et d'un couple d'ambiance pour capturer l'énergie et l'intensité du combo.

En utilisant des préamplis à lampes exceptionnels, Telefunken V71, V72, V76 et des anciens micros à ruban pour être au plus près du réel, ce nouvel album de Kacimi, "Mauvaise", composé de 9 titres, prend la forme d'une épopée sonique garage où les guitares "fuzz" occupent une place centrale. Kacimi propose ici une sélection de nouveaux titres ainsi que quelques morceaux familiers de son répertoire live.

For three days in September 2024, Kacimi locked himself away in Christian Hierro's Back To Mono studio in Lyon for a live session. Accompanied by his band, La Mécréance, this new opus was recorded on an 8-track tape recorder under concert conditions, with one microphone per musician and a couple of ambient speakers to capture the energy and intensity of the combo.

Using exceptional Telefunken V71, V72 and V76 tube preamps and old-fashioned ribbon mics to get as close to reality as possible, Kacimi's new 9-track album, ‘Mauvaise’, takes the form of a sonic garage epic in which fuzz guitars take centre stage. Kacimi offers here a selection of new tracks as well as a few familiar ones from his live repertoire.
