Independence Day Ride 🙏🏽 by @badbackbiker

You step out of the gym and what do you see?

A tiny Ratha (Chariot) carrying Jagannath Maha Prabhu (Lord of the Universe) being pulled by a small group of people, a family probably, with the same devotion as thousands of devotees pulling the three magnificent Rathas in Puri.

A reminder perhaps that divinity, regardless of religion or region is all around and all it takes is faith and the willingness to believe.

Jai Jagannath!

Life tested you in ways most people would never understand, yet you stood tall every single time. You did not just survive the storms, you learned how to walk through them with courage and quiet strength. Your journey is not just about years lived, but about battles fought and won with dignity.

Today is not just a celebration of your age, it is a celebration of your resilience, your spirit, and your unbreakable will. May the years ahead bring you peace, good health, and the kind of happiness that stays.

Keep inspiring, keep rising.

Thirty years ago I was in so much pain that I wished never to wake up. The lowest point, period.

Am I scarred? Yes.
Have I healed? I'd like to think so.
Am I grateful? Each and every day, more like every moment.

When you've been where I have, you learn not to take anything or anyone for granted. This too shall pass becomes a mantra to live by.

I get to work with tormented souls like myself, in that I'm blessed. Most don't get it and that's just the way it is. Maybe it's not their time. Another reminder of how powerless I am over any outcome.

The greatest gift, and there are so many, has been what I'd like to think of as a better understanding of the concept of faith and it's application in day to day life.

Anyway happy 58th to me!
