Al Khalil (Hebron)this morning

A Palestinian man from the Imreish family from Al Khalil breaks down in tears as he watches the Israeli occupation forces begin demolishing his home. With a broken heart, he says goodbye to his house: “Goodbye, my home.” An Israeli soldier then forces him away from the front of his own house.

For the tenth consecutive day, Hebron has been under a relentless military assault, involving the demolition of homes and their complete destruction, particularly in the Farsh al-Hawa area. Meanwhile, the neighbourhoods of Al-Jilda, Ain Deir Bahha, and Al-Maghareba remain under siege and isolated from the rest of Al Khalil.

More than 3,300 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced, most of them women and children, alongside elderly people and patients. They have been left without shelter, stripped of the security and stability of their homes.

The Israeli colonial state has grown increasingly emboldened in carrying out and continuing its genocidal policies, extending them from Gaza to the West Bank. This is happening in the absence of any genuine deterrence or accountability, and amid international complicity and silence by many governments around the world, particularly powerful states, foremost among them the United States and several European countries.

How many more Palestinian homes must be destroyed, and how many more families must be displaced, before the international community takes meaningful action?

This is the speech I delivered at the demonstration in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I came directly from work on my very first day, and I was feeling tired and exhausted.

Nevertheless, I tried to convey the voice of my people, speak about their suffering, and send a message to Palestinians that they are not alone, that there are people who hear their voices and stand up for their cause.

If Zionist ideology was born in the nineteenth century, we emerged in opposition to it through our Palestinian national identity, as its antithesis. We are facing two parallel lines that will never meet, because they are rooted in fundamentally contradictory visions of humanity, land, and rights.

Yet, we believe that we will prevail, not through the power of weapons alone, but through the power of truth and justice, and with the support of millions of free people around the world who see Palestine as a cause of the oppressed, of human dignity, freedom, and justice.

The free word, when it refuses to compromise or surrender, has its own power and impact, especially when spoken in the right place and at the right time.

Palestine is worth every effort we make for it, and we must remain faithful to its voice. by @badeedwaik

In Al Khalil (Hebron)
The occupation forces released Mustafa Al-Jaaba, a young man with a disability, after detaining him for several hours, during which his hands were tied and his eyes were blindfolded.

Tying the hands of a person with a disability, blindfolding him, and detaining him for hours is humiliating treatment and a blatant violation of his dignity and fundamental human rights.

Such practices cannot be justified and must be documented, investigated, and held accountable. by @badeedwaik

Al Khalil (Hebron)
Haj Hajjazi Shawer al-Tamimi was transferred to hospital after his health deteriorated, following the Israeli authorities’ denial of his return to his home in the Jalda area of central Hebron. He and his family had been forcibly displaced from their home.

Israeli occupation soldiers also prevented him from reaching his home to collect his essential medication, despite his suffering from chronic illnesses. This further worsened his health, as Palestinian families in the area continue to face the threat of forced displacement.

This map shows the location where approximately 300 families are being forced to leave their homes in the Ein Darbaha area, in the heart of Al Khalil "Hebron".

Al Khalil is the Palestinian city with the highest concentration of Israeli occupation checkpoints and obstacles. More than 240 checkpoints and obstacles are located in Hebron, out of approximately 925 across the occupied West Bank.

Al Khalil Governorate has a population of approximately 900,000.also it's the third size of the West Bank area.

This reality makes life increasingly difficult for Palestinians in Al Khalil turning their daily movements and their ability to remain in their neighbourhoods and homes into a daily struggle under occupation. by @badeedwaik

My beloved city,,,
the home of memories,,,

This is the result of the destruction left behind by the occupation after demolishing a large number of homes at the western entrance, in the area known as Farsh Al-Hawa in Al Khalil.

My eyes travel to you every day, and my heart and thoughts are with you.
My heart beats with worry for my family and loved ones there.

All of this is happening because of the complicity of most of the countries in the world.
It continues because this state is still treated as part of the international community without being held accountable.

It continues because it has not been punished for its crimes. by @badeedwaik
