The Bahamas International Film Festival is proud to name producer, bestselling author, philanthropist and former U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas Nicole Avant as our 2026 Guest of Honour.

Ms. Avant first joined BIFF in 2009 during her time as Ambassador. Seventeen years later, she returns to be honoured in her own right, receiving the Visionary Producer Award and being named Honorary Patron of the Festival.

Her producing credits include The Black Godfather and The Six Triple Eight, powerful stories that might otherwise have gone untold. 🎬

Next stop: The Bahamas! 🇧🇸🎥

We’re excited to announce that Alchemy in Venice is an Official Selection of the 2026 Bahamas International Film Festival, taking place in December.

From the shores of Venice Beach to the islands of The Bahamas, our film continues its journey to another coastal community. With ocean preservation and sustainability woven into our story, we’re excited to see these themes reach audiences beyond the California coastline.

Previously named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World,” @bahamasintlfilmfest celebrates international storytelling and cultural exchange, making this another exciting milestone for Alchemy in Venice.

We’re honored to be part of this year’s festival!
