Two guys, two salmon, and about 30 seconds of teamwork before it all went to shit. 😂🎣 #fishing #catchandrelease #fishon #salmonriver #pulaski by @bait_and_dadditude

Yesterday at the pumpkin patch 🎃🎣 I saw these two walking up and asked little buddy if he wanted to catch a fish. He didn’t hesitate for a second. “YES!”

Pretty sure I was just as excited as he was! 😂

Take your kids fishing. They’ll be too busy chasing fish to rob little old ladies one day. 🎣😂 #catchandrelease #fishing #fishon #troutbum #browntrout by @bait_and_dadditude

Well, this weekend was our final hurrah on the Salmon River, and of course, it didn’t disappoint. A lot fewer fish, but more cohos, some steelhead, and a couple of straggler fucking salmon still hanging around. 😂🎣

I’ve been sitting here reminiscing about this season and just how incredible it’s been. Not just because of the fishing, but because of the people I got to share it with.

One of my favorite moments from this weekend wasn’t some crazy fish or epic net job. It was when Kelly and I disappeared from our group of friends, wandered downstream, and just fished together. Just the two of us. We found a pod of fish and went to town. No big production, no chaos, just us doing something we both love. And I think that’s a memory I’ll carry with me for a very long time.

Watching her go from someone who had never experienced this kind of fishing to the incredible fisherwoman she’s becoming has been one of the coolest parts of my season. Every fight, every fish, she’s getting better and better, and I couldn’t be more fucking proud of her.

I’ve always loved the Salmon River. The friendships, the laughs, the absolute ruckus we cause, and the memories we make along the way. But getting to share all of that with my girlfriend this year made something I already loved that much more special.

I wouldn’t trade a single second of it. Here’s to hoping next year brings all the same people, even bigger memories, and a whole lot more fish.

What a fucking season. ❤️🎣 #thetroutnetguys #catchandrelease #fishing #fishon #salmonriverny

Having the best day before 8am is a whole ass vibe, time to hit the river. #thetroutnetguys #fishing #catchandrelease #fishon by @bait_and_dadditude

Believe it or not, I met this incredible woman on Facebook. And in just a couple of months, she’s shown me what it feels like to truly be appreciated, loved, and cared for.

Anyone who knows me knows how much fishing means to me. It’s not just a hobby. It’s a huge part of who I am. I’ve been with people in the past who never really understood that passion or why I love it so damn much.

But her? She never skipped a beat. Never hesitated. She wanted to be part of something that means the world to me.

And let me tell you something. It took just TWO DAYS to teach this woman how to salmon fish, and boy, was I fucking proud of her.

She watched. She listened. She learned. And then she went out there and did the damn thing.

But what means the most to me isn’t even the fishing. It’s that she cared enough to want to understand something I love. She didn’t need convincing, didn’t complain, and didn’t make me feel like I had to choose between my passion and the person I’m with.

She just showed up, gave it her all, and made something I already loved even better.

And for this woman? I’d take a drink in that river and fill my waders with water any day for her. ANY FUCKING DAY. And anyone who knows me knows that’s saying something. 😂❤️

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about finding someone who loves everything you do. It’s about finding someone who loves you enough to want to be part of it.

And I think that’s what I’ve been missing all along. ❤️🎣 #thetroutnetguys #catchandrelease #fishing #fishon #salmonriverny by @bait_and_dadditude
