I lift. I climb. I dance.

They’re different, and so am I.
But it always comes back to the same thing —
movement, rhythm, connection to my body.

Balance isn’t given.
It’s something I choose, every day.

Very personal post today! From the very young age I have been very self conscious about my body, too big for a kid, too long hair, too big boobs, just not good enough. And growing up I was going through “eating anything - on a diet” circle. I was into heavy lifting, I was into excessive cardio, but the body still didn’t feel right. And finally now I reached the stage where I am happy with who I am, with my body, I am happy and I am beautiful, and most importantly I AM GOOD ENOUGH! Photo credit: @tatiana_khoang Body acceptance workshop: @artballet_ @artamonovaballet by @bake_n_lift

Tomorrow, I’m going back to where I once belonged. But I’m not the same person who left.

Five years later, I’m returning to the corporate world and to a company that was once a big part of my professional life.

Am I excited? Ridiculously.
Am I scared? Absolutely.

But this time feels different.

I’ve grown as a person, as a professional, and most importantly, I’ve learned to set boundaries and stand by them.

I know what I bring to the table. I know what I’m capable of. And I’m no longer afraid to have my own voice.

I can’t wait to take on new regional challenges, share my ideas and see what we can achieve.

Same company. Different me. 🤍

Social media shows you the highlights. Let me tell you about the less glamorous part 😅

I often hear, “You’re a machine!” or “How do you manage to do so much sport?”

In reality I wake up sore almost every day. Different body part, different complaint. Strains, injuries, questionable recovery, and a body that fails to perform basic tasks.

Of course, I could just stop. But I chose this lifestyle, and I genuinely love it. I’d still rather deal with the consequences of being active than those of sitting around all day.

But loving something doesn’t mean doing it intelligently. And apparently, I’m reaching the age where enthusiasm alone is no longer a sufficient recovery strategy.

So here we are. Day 1 of actually incorporating mobility exercises into my warm-up. Not because I’ve suddenly become wise, but because my body has started negotiating terms and conditions.

Universe, grant me patience. Because apparently, flexibility isn’t my only problem 🫠

I’ve danced salsa for almost two decades. I’ve never taken a single class.

I learned from people. I learned from music. I learned by dancing. Maybe I’m not the most technical dancer, that might be true. But I feel and live every beat to my core.

And after all these years, that’s still why I dance. To dance is to live. 💃

Thank you @odacsingapore for bringing a piece of Cuba to us! It was a fabulous event!

Dear glutes, see above. The back is delivering.

A few pull-ups and my back goes: “Understood. We’re building architecture”.

Meanwhile, after years of squats, deadlifts, Bulgarians and hip thrusts, my glutes are still like: “Thank you for your email. We’ll circle back”.

My back does the work. My 🍑 still gets the crown though 😅

I’m closing my business @sweetmargaery.vn

Starting Sweet Margo was one of the biggest leaps of my life. Okay, second biggest. Becoming a parent still wins that one 😅

Building this business taught me more about myself than I ever expected. I learned just how strong, determined, creative and ridiculously hardworking I can be. I built something from nothing, watched it grow, and made cakes I’m genuinely proud of.

To every person who ordered a cake, recommended me, supported me, came back for another celebration or simply believed in what I was doing — thank you. You were my inspiration. 🤍

And to everyone who didn’t believe in me?
Thank you too. You were excellent motivation. 😌

This chapter did exactly what it was supposed to do. And now I’m ready for the next one.

Stay tuned. New adventures are coming very soon.

Love,
your Sweet Margo 🎂🤍

My son will only be six once. The tattoo, thankfully for me and unfortunately for him, is forever 🤍

One day we were drawing together, learning animal sounds, and he casually created this little masterpiece.

It felt too special to eventually disappear into a box of childhood drawings.

Some people frame their children’s art.
I carry mine with me 🥹

I thought I was raising him. Turns out, he’s raising me.

I’m convinced my son came into my life to challenge every limit I thought I had.
Yesterday, he talked me into the scariest ride at the amusement park. Today, he asked if we could go zip-lining over the Moscow River.

Every time I think, “Absolutely not,” he somehow turns it into, “Why not?”. He reminds me that courage isn’t about not being scared. It’s about saying yes anyway.

I hope I’m teaching him that anything is possible.

But if I’m honest, he’s the one teaching me. 🤍

Most people meet the armour.

The lucky few meet the person underneath.

She’s ridiculously happy, endlessly curious, laughs at her own jokes, and will probably convince you to climb a mountain for fun.

The “cold” version was never the real story.

She was just making sure the right people got to read the next chapter.

Stop waiting for life to become beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Happiness is a decision.

Life gives you lemons—make lemonade.
Life gives you an opportunity—build an empire.

And I am about to make mine stronger!
