POSTS STORIES REELS

The next time Halloween falls on a Saturday, my five-year-old will be SIXTEEN. So I made a whole day of making memories. 10/10 recommend. 🥹👻🖤 by @balancednotbusy

A little mischief. A lot of Mahjong. 👻🀄️

“Spooky Mahj” with House of Tiles Social Club had themed attire, a couple rounds of @mischiefmahj Halloween Edition, prizes for our winners and boo bags for all the gals. 🖤

A good time with the gal pals doing something we love. Make room for that, friends. Whatever your “that” is.

Oh, we had two different understandings of this plan. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I signed up for classroom decorations, and Trinity’s teacher thought I was dropping them off for the teachers to put up because I’m busy.👀

Ma’am. I’m bringing the decorations, my event kit AND myself. I WANT to decorate. 🎃

A Forty minute commitment, in the middle of a very FULL week and it was a JOY giver. No regrets! Sometimes the thing somebody tells you to take off your plate because you are (or appear to be) busy is the thing you’ve been looking forward to.

Friend, you know what drains you. You also know what brings you joy. Everybody doesn’t have to understand why you’re making time for it. Just do it! 😉 by @balancednotbusy

One I can’t wait to yap about at #bookclub. Another one that most didn’t love but I did. And one that continues to get under my skin 🤪. October’s stack👆🏾 by @balancednotbusy

Like why?!? 😳😬😵‍💫🤪 by @balancednotbusy

May every single memory from last night live rent free in my mind FOREVER. 🤍 by @balancednotbusy

I’d finished the book I brought on a work trip, needed something for the flight home, and grabbed this page-turner 👆🏾 at the airport 25 minutes before my flight took off.

Sometimes we overthink the next read. You don’t need a dozen reviews. Just pick up the book and start reading. That’s where the magic happens. 📚 by @balancednotbusy

My sister-in-love said, “I want a Bridgerton-themed tea party for my bridal shower.”

Me: Say less.

I found the perfect space at the Woman’s Club of Fort Worth, packed my event survival kit (duct tape, zip ties, Sharpies; you know, the essentials 😂), and flew in with my handy-dandy sidekick, Trinity, to bring it all to life.

It was such a good day 🙌🏾. We shared stories and advice from around the room, laughed over a round of games and my brother even made a surprise appearance 🥹. Seeing @heiressmariah_ soak it all in was my favorite part.

Was planning from afar and flying in to pull it off a lot? Sure. But I love creating a moment for someone I love, and I’ll keep doing it every chance I get.🤍

I’m just so happy for my brother and future sister-in-love and I can’t believe we’re only days away from seeing these two get married!!

Random thoughts while yapping at the Mahjong table:

Life is precious. Be kind.

Enjoy your hobbies. Let other people enjoy theirs. We don’t all have to love the same things.

Have a question? Ask it. Your assumptions are not a reliable source.

Not everything you love has to become something you’re productive at, you’re allowed to just enjoy it.🫶🏾

Balance y’all. So much balance. by @balancednotbusy

Proof of FUN when every freaking life “burner” is blazing.🔥🥵💃🏾 by @balancednotbusy

Finished this one last Tuesday and I’ve been wrestling with posting it.😳

This is a judgement free space, can y’all tell me why this one is such a hit? by @balancednotbusy
