Under the colonnade of the Palais Brongniart, in Paris’s historic Place de la Bourse, invited guests from all over the world were treated yesterday to a runway event celebrating the very best of Chinese fashion and creativity. As part of TRANOI PARIS, a large scale trade expo showcasing over 200 brands from 43 different territories, Bonjour Echoes - The Sound of Life was predominantly focused on three labels (Warrior 1927, JUN BY YANGJUN and RAXXY) who presented their SS27 collections. Moving from casual wear through to structured statement pieces and elegant evening attire, the show was seamless in format, offering comfort in the sense of global community and theatricality with the stunning deep purple runway and dramatic lighting (enhanced by the last of the Indian summer shining between the impressive stone columns). To close the event, 10 outfits designed by Chinese fashion students were presented in collaboration with VIEE, a partner committed to supporting the new generation of Chinese designers. The front row included high profile names such as Chinese performer, Wang Ziyi, and Love Island USA star, Gabriel Vasconcelos. KARL LAGERFELD has transformed its Saint Germain flagship into an immersive event to celebrate the FW26 campaign ‘From Paris With Love’. Following their first encounter, Paris Hilton and NOT-KARL continued their dialogue beyond the campaign through a series of interactive moments created for the occasion. At the heart of the experience, the Control Room brings NOT-KARL’s screen-led universe into the space through a wall of monitors, live cameras and a central console, inviting guests to play and step inside the exchange between Paris, NOT-KARL and NOT-CHOUPETTE. The playful tone continues with ‘Hot or Not’, an interactive styling game featuring FW26 campaign looks, while a dedicated photobooth invites guests to capture their own ‘From Paris With Love’ moment. Friends of the House including Nicky Hilton, Heidi Klum, Tom Kaulitz, Taylor Hill, Kit Butler and Dino Fetscher joined in celebration alongside Lena Mahfouf, Jihoon Kim, Chriselle Lim, Pierre Painchaud, Mayadorable and the Young Emperors, among others. French DJ Marina Trench provided the soundtrack for the evening. For the occasion, Paris Hilton also unveiled a customised white shirt, created as her personal tribute to Karl Lagerfeld. Presented within an installation dedicated to one of the House’s most enduring codes, the design was shown alongside a series of tribute shirts from A Tribute to Karl Lagerfeld: The White Shirt Project. Following the opening night, ‘From Paris With Love’ opens its doors to the public on October 2 and 3, giving visitors the opportunity to step inside the campaign universe and experience the installations first-hand at the KARL LAGERFELD Saint-Germain flagship. Registration is required to access the experience. What an incredible day with @brightonfashioncollective at @brighton_dome for BRIGHTON SLOW FASHION WEEK. Featuring free @sewfabulousbrighton workshops, a slow clothes swap, sustainable marketplace, emerging talent runways and book signings from @tansyhoskins, there was a real community feel which is surely the best thing about the arts, fashion included. I came away from the clothes swap with 3 new cocktail dresses, a blazer, and cotton tassel vest. Haven’t been to a swishing event in years.
