A few Miami Swim Weeks back, I had the pleasure of working with Chase @chaseknight5 and designer Perry Jones @perryjonesatelier. Looking back at these photos brings me right back to that collaboration.

Since then, Perry has continued taking his designs to bigger stages, including the runway at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO. His bold tailoring, statement pieces, and attention to detail are reaching audiences around the world, and I love seeing his work get that recognition.

One of the best parts of photography is getting to create with talented people, then watching their next chapters unfold. Glad I got to share a little of that journey with both Chase and Perry in Miami.

When international models come to Washington to work with me, one of my favorite stops is Axel Makeup Academy.

During Chance Schwartz’s visit, we spent time in the studio with celebrity makeup artist Axel Vasquez for a one-on-one makeup session. I love bringing talented people together, and this was a special opportunity to share the creative process.

Axel’s work reaches from celebrity beauty to fashion editorials and major runways. His credits include Karol G and Nella Rojas, along with New York Fashion Week and his role as Beauty Director for Miami Swim Week – The Shows. He also shares that experience with aspiring artists through his academy.

Chance is an international model whose background brings together fashion and fitness. Featured as Chance Gwyen in FHM South Africa, she has spoken about preparing for fashion weeks in New York, London, and Milan, as well as using her fitness title to support charitable causes.

These photos capture part of our time together at Axel’s studio. Thank you, Chance and Axel, for being part of this collaboration.

Fall in Central Park is magical. The trees whisper of seasons long gone. The benches are silky smooth from the gossip of the generations. Then there’s Parkey @parkeyypark owning the park. by @barryfreemanphotography

For this Miami session I photographed Minndy, my favorite Miami-based swimwear, resort wear, and fashion model.

Some mornings make getting up early very easy.

Sommer Holder and I headed to the tip of Florida’s Fort De Soto peninsula with beautiful morning light, thousands of birds, and the ocean around us.

Add a bright fuchsia dress with a 30-foot cape, her skin glistening in the sun, and subtle was definitely not the plan.

That color against the water was something else. Sommer, you made that stretch of coastline your own.
