12 Nov at Bathyscaphe MoAW presents Theo Alexander & QOW + Szymon Wójcik & Sara Flindt + La Zza Ro Address – Bathyscaphe, Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre 215, 1020 Bruxelles Doors – 7 00 pm Tickets – €14 OTD; €11 + booking fees pre-sale Theo Alexander & QOW - Ambient/Experimental/HipHop Theo Alexander & Qow first began working together during a month-long residency at a former glassworks in Prague, live recordings from which were recycled and processed to create their debut album, So Afraid to Show I Care. At once playful and disarming, their music combines distinct elements of their respective practices to form an intangible but coherent whole, covering non-verbal voice notes, growling double basses, spoken word, and tape-loop ambience. Szymon Wójcik & Sara Flindt - Contemporary / Classical / Post-Rock Their music emerges from an exploration of liminal territories of harmony, challenging linguistic conventions while breaking genre boundaries. Working with natural tuning systems (just intonation) as a structural anchor, the duo creates sound worlds that merge contemporary composition with the expressive contours of left-field pop. This approach unfolds through an intuitive, open-ended practice, allowing precisely tuned harmonies to expand into more expressive and unpredictable territories. La Zza Ro - Experimental / Electronic / Tape Recordings La Zza Ro is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist hovering on the verge of sonic composition and Intuitive, experimental songwriting. Guided by a lasting love for poetry, tape recordings, loops, ethereal voices, raw noise, tangible textures and detuned universes, she weaves together lyrical sound worlds with a dream-like allure. Breaking and searching for structures, a song. At Music for a Whim, La Zza Ro will be presenting a new live set for grand piano, electronics and tape recordings, combining songs from her upcoming album with free improvisations.

This Friday 18.09 🌊 To present his new EP *Slow Motion Scene II* and the album that precedes it, Axel Gilain @axelgilain unveils his songs through voice and guitar, punctuated by sounds, thoughts and fragments of interviews triggered on a cassette player—an imperfect, nostalgic object. A post-mortem reconstruction, or a waking dream in which cinematic light cuts this intimate journey into scenes, immersed in silence and breath. On record and live, Axel is joined by composer and multi-instrumentalist Julia Emmery @juliaemmery. Using modular synthesizers, her voice and sound design, she enriches the scenes with subtle beats and sonic abstractions, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and layered.** Axel Gilain – Vocal, guitars Julia Emmery – Modular synths, vocal 19:30 - Doors open 21:00 - Concert Price: € 7 - Tickets in bio Please note: - Doors close at the beginning of the concert, at 21:00 - Remember to bring cash for entry and the bar Poster : @twototango.studio 🙏 by @bathyscaphe.be

Navigation 18 coming up 🌊 Tuesday 15th September 19:00 - Doors 20:00 - B°TONG (CH/S, Zoharum) - @btongmusic Chris Sigdell is an experimental electronic musician. He developed a soft spot for early industrial textures and pioneering ambient soundscapes while cutting his teeth in industrial collective NID (1995-2005). He builds an interesting body of work that moves in various directions at the same time. From dealings with ambient and isolationism on one hand and experimental music, ranging from the soft micro-sound end to the more engaging noise end, in a clever combination of ideas... Founded in 2005 B°TONG has toured all over the world and appeared at festivals like Audio Art Festival, Les Digitales, Fab_In, Lab30, Norberg Festivalen, Temple Of Silence, Wroclaw Industrial Festival - playing alongside diverse acts such as Bohren und der Club of Gore, Frontline Assembly, Jozef Van Wissem, Puce Mary, Robert Rich, Thomas Köner, Zbigniew Karkowski etc. Chris releases on Zoharum. Live he uses found gadgets and metal objects together with various effect-pedals to create his soundscapes. 21:00 - DREKKA (USA, Dais Rec) - @mkldrekka Working under the name DREKKA since 1996, American composer Michael Anderson has toured, traveled, and collaborated extensively. Drekka has released a large body of work on labels such as Auris Apothecary, Dais, etc. Drekka find kinship in the soundscapes and non-linear impressionism of Cindytalk or Coil. But his work is singular, unique, and very personal. Anderson's work dwells heavily on themes of silence, memory, and forgetfulness; functioning as a direct line to the mind and its tenuous cache of memories. Drekka live performances are spontaneous and tailored to the evening, the audience, and the space. The performances utilise primarily live voice and cassette manipulation of recordings sourced from Drekka's archive. These are collaged on the spot using a mixer, customized tape decks, contact microphones, and a looping station. Please note: - Doors close at the beginning of the concert, at 20:00, and re-open at intermission, around 21:00 - Remember to bring cash for entry and the bar - Ticket : 5 euros - Webshop in bio by @bathyscaphe.be
Wed. 16th Sept. 19:00 - Doors 20:00 - 'Sons que nous Sommes' ft. Pierre Droeshaut (BE) “Sons que nous Sommes” was founded by Pierre Droeshaut, pianist; Istvàn Droeshaut, violinist; and Piroska Visnyei, soprano. What we share is a history of listening to and loving a wide variety of music, including a broad repertoire of classical, contemporary, experimental, minimalist, postmodern music, as well as French chanson, pop rock, blues, Romani music and jazz. In art, what matters is finding coherence. In improvisation, without a pre-established plan, this is somewhat like the art of the tightrope walker. Yet we often find our way there through letting go and listening to one another. We enjoy improvising in concert without any prior rehearsal, preparing only mentally and allowing ourselves to discover one another in the moment of encounter. This creates an intensity — and that little thrill of taking a leap into the unknown. 21:00 - 'Initial Conditions' ft. João Lobo (DK/DE) The ensemble "Initial Conditions" is usually conceived as a septet, bringing together a group of upcoming young musicians from diverse artistic backgrounds. For their concert in Brussels on 16 September 2026, the group appears in a special quartet formation featuring João Gato (Copenhagen), Till Müller (Leipzig), Samuel Dietze (Dresden), Vincent Meissner (Leipzig) and Brussels fixture João Lobo. The title "Initial Conditions" refers to the unique circumstances that shape each musical encounter, serving as the point of departure from which every sonic development unfolds. At the core of the ensemble's practice is a process-oriented approach to improvisation with a strong emphasis on instant composition. Beginning from open frameworks rather than predetermined forms, the music emerges entirely in real time through collective listening, interaction, transformation and negotiation. Musical events continuously evolve through processes of accumulation, dissolution and reconfiguration, allowing forms to arise organically before dissolving into new constellations. Open end - Stick around for some exanges on the performances while listening to home curated music • Ticket : 7 € - link in bio by @bathyscaphe.be
