Here it is. Just under a week since the release of Armageddon I've finished my favourite unit from the box!

This as you can see is going to be added to my new raptors desert themed army for 11th. Painting this has been a fun ride! ( Pun intended) Using a combination of techniques I've learned over the years weathering wise it was great to put them all together! Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I had making it!

Some moody shots of my new Konflikt 47 US Linebacker!

Although it took me a good while I thoroughly love it when you realise a vision!

Currently working on some fireflys from the starter box supplied by my good friends @fogofwargames so stay frosty for even more weird war!

Next Stahl truppen done! The mix of 40k grim dark and ww2 on these is strong. The way the model holds the light AT gun, like the armour suit is helping with the weight yet the weapon is still unweildly.
Loved basing these guys as if they are advancing through a long dead city, with rubble and dead leaves, I hope really conveys this image.

Toddlers asleep having a nap, a rare quiet moment In the day, I grabbed my gandalf churchwarden, sat in the garden- sparked up and contemplated a little, lettting the mind unravel in the brief respite.

Wherever/ whenever possible, I encourage you all to take a little time in your day to appreciate the little things, it makes managing bigger issues so much more bearable!

Are you sick of me posting about JRR Tolkien yet? No?

Good,.... being a huge Tolkien fan and living where he lived, studied and taught never gets old but getting to share all of this with my friends is something that will never get old or boring.

So come with us as our little Fellowship went on our own little adventure throughOxford, seeing the places that inspired Tolkien and where he spent a huge amount of his life.

Maybe I should start doing these Tolkien tours for a living 🤔 lol 😆

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Oxford with @dazmaul_hobbies @dusty_minis and @hampsterhobbies where we were lucky enough to have a rarewalk around Merton college where JRR Tolkien once studied and taught! We were able to see the tolkien table where he sat and wrote parts of The Lord Of The Rings and what inspire the council of elrond, his dorm room where he was inspired to conjure the towers of orthanc and minas morgul and tree that he sat under in one of his famous pictures! A huge tick on the bucket list and a cracking bunch of dudes to spend the weekend with and thankyou so much daz for having us!

Had the absolute best time with these lads, Showing them around my neck of the woods and all things Tolkien (and a lot of lesser known Tolkien things too). I love Showing people around these beautiful places and it's all made better by getting to do that with some of the best friends a nerd could ask for.

1. Outside Radcliffe Camera
2,3 & 4. Sat at the Tolkien table in Merton college where Tolkien sat and worked on the later parts of the Lord of the Rings, this is also said to have inspired the council of Elrond
5. Outside Carfax Tower
6. Inside the Lamb and Flag pub, the place the Inklings moved their meetings to from the Eagle and Child during later years.

Once again i didn't take enough photos, but it's more about living in and enjoying the actual moment. by @bazzawazz_wargaming

WIP!

Trying my hand at pale skin, using rarkarth flash lightened with matte white then mixing in carnelian flesh for the shadows for the base, adding in various conditions of washes and glazes. Any tips for pale skin please let me know!
