No hateee to any show, but we all know most of the characters in Chumbak feel inspired/taken from our childhood favourite, Badi Door Se Aaye Hain — and honestly, it’s obvious because the makers are the same!

And I completely understand that in 2026, they might want to make an “adult coming-of-age, Hollywood-style comedy” show with a completely fake setup. But I really don’t understand why they didn’t even try to make that fake setup look real, like they used to earlier…

But bro, seriously yaar, what happened to that uniqueness? 🥹

I absolutely loved Chumbak, but at the same time, I didn’t feel like it had that same long-lasting, memorable feeling. It felt a little too easy to forget.

Because when you think from a family entertainment point of view and try to make something that genuinely works for everyone — that’s probably one of the hardest things to pull off!

I’m not against adult comedy, and Chumbak wasn’t completely that either. It had only a few elements of it. And honestly, whenever the show focused on those family moments, I really enjoyed it.

And yes, I also understand why the makers are going in this direction. Because apparently, in 2026, we LOVE fake setups, over-the-top comedy, and grown men dressing up as women for comedy. 😂

But just imagine…

What if they had given Badi Door Se Aaye Hain Season 2 a chance — not on television, but on OTT?

I know OTT platforms don’t usually pick up proper family shows, but if the makers had been offered enough money, I’m sure someone would have taken it.

And with the right marketing, Badi Door Se Aaye Hain Season 2 could’ve introduced that magic to a completely new generation too.

Thank you and sorry!
I just said what I genuinely felt. ❤️
