PUBLIC ACID and INVERTEBRATES embark on the OPERATION HARDCORE US TOUR in about a months time. Check your local listings for more gig info! Both bands will have new EPs out on Beach Impediment in the coming months - both are absolutely butt kicking! We are crossing our collective fingers, toes, etc to have said 7” slabs ready BUT just in case they aren’t, the bands will have a limited tour exclusive split 12” with both records on it in tow. More on that later! This poster was done by king @maxmattoon #chubbdoesdoubleduty #chubbleduty by @beachimpediment
A quick post to reflect on this dirty (half) dozen of slabs I had the pleasure of aiding in the spread of this year. As always, it’s an honor and a privilege to be trusted by these bands to push their creation into the world. Be it brand new tracks from the Mujeres Podridas 12” that I often have stuck in my head when driving to work for the past 4-5 months or the White Cross 7” that I’ve been blasting since I was a teen and know like the back of my 41 year old hand, all of these excited me greatly and continued the tradition that is the Beach Impediment label - someone releasing tunes they are moved by. In addition to the bands, without whom there’d be nothing, my appreciation also extends to the various artists that helped bring the visual aspects of these releases to life (and also helped my caveman ass get that shit print ready), the legends who made these records sound great through their technical wizardry, the network of distribution world wide that helps the slabs get around efficiently, the countless stores and distros that obtain said slabs from said distributors, domestic plants @donaldson_rpc (who, in addition to the new LP’s, also handled multiple represses for me this year like absolute champs) and @cascaderecordpressing (R.I.P., thankful for the projects we did over the past decade) for their part and lastly all y’all who support the groups live and otherwise because it all comes back to them. There is no art without the artist. As I somehow enter year 15 (wtf) of this label / social experiment / front for producing Bar Rescue Fan Fiction hidden inside of punk records, I’m stoked for what’s to come with some stuff already at the plant and rough recordings of future releases arriving here and there. If ya made it this far you know what to expect - more slabs that may or may not tickle your fancy and hopefully minimal usage of this abysmal fucking app. Oh and pretty much everything in the Big Cartel is still on sale through the end of the year. Bye! #barrescuefanfiction #beachimpedimentrecords by @beachimpediment
If you haven’t heard, our new LP “Sangre Y Sol” is out now on @beachimpediment records 😈🍻!!! You can get it live or on the Beach Impediment web store! You can also listen to it on bandcamp (link in bio), will stream eventually… Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this record what it is: Engineered by: @flaustin_paradise Mixed by: @theeetone at Abbey Road West Mastered by: @_mammothsound_ Illustrations by: @kumi_ashg Layout and direction by: @mr_d_n_a_ SPECIAL THANKS to Mark Shubert at @beachimpediment for all your support on this, and @ryota_sakai33 for taking care of us in Japan! by @beachimpediment
Folks, we got a real serious trio of slabs dropping today: MUJERES PODRIDAS - SANGRE Y SOL LP WHITE CROSS - FASCIST EP RHDP - KASKASERÖ LP Extremely honored to be releasing these three recordings that range from two of my favorite purveyors of modern punk to a legit early USHC classic - truly excited to end yet another year with em. Much like I did with the GRAVEN IMAGE 12” a few years back, everyone who snags all three new releases will be entered into a raffle for an original dead stock copy of the WHITE CROSS - FASCIST EP that I dug out of a museum district basement like 15 years ago. Also got a big sale going in the web store involving older label titles and distro items galore! Again, various links in the bio above will aid you in your quest! Be well! R.I.P. MIKEY RODRIGUEZ, you are loved and missed. #beachimpedimentrecords by @beachimpediment
JAPAN!!! MUJERES PODRIDAS will be embarking on a tour of your beautiful country later this week. On top of that great news, we were able to rush 50 advance copies of their upcoming SANGRE Y SOL LP which they will have in tow along with copies of the recently repressed MUERTE EN PARAÍSO LP! Immense thanks to @donaldson_rpc for making this record miracle happen and to @westwardpunk for this awesome tour poster! A couple songs can be streamed via the band’s Bandcamp page! And for everyone else, this new @mujeres.podridas slab will be available to y’all in November with some other butt kickers but more on that later - stay tuned!! #beachimpedimentrecords by @beachimpediment
Today, INVERTEBRATES embark on a jaunt to A VARNING FROM MONTREAL and back with the first stop tonight in Baltimore (duck, motherfucker!)
