The future of Miami may start in the classroom, but it is shaped by an entire ecosystem rooting for our students to succeed. 🍎📈✨ The Miami-Dade Beacon Council was proud to convene business, education, and community leaders for an engaging, thought-provoking conversation featuring LaMae deJongh, Chief Schooling Officer of @SuccessAcademy Charter Schools, and Rodrick T. Miller. "The Future of Miami Starts in the Classroom," reinforced a fundamental truth: cultivating a resilient, competitive local talent pipeline requires listening, learning, and always keeping students at the center of the work. Key takeaways from the discussion: 🔹 Connecting Classrooms to Industry: Bridging K-12 education with Miami’s rapidly expanding tech, finance, and business sectors to expose students to high-growth career pathways early. 🔹 A Shared Ecosystem: Building strong alignments between educators, employers, families, and civic leadership to ensure our workforce development strategy begins long before higher education. 🔹 Empowering Local Talent: Ensuring Greater Miami’s youth are fully equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to power our region’s future economy. Thank you to all who joined us and to our partners, including Success Academy, for collaborating with us to build a seamless bridge between education and economic growth. When we invest in our students today, we secure Greater Miami’s leadership tomorrow! 🏙️💡 #WorkforceDevelopment #Education #TalentBridgeMiami #FutureOfWork #BeaconCouncil by @beaconcouncil

The Miami-Dade Beacon Council recently traveled to Monaco for the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous (M3 Monaco), hosted by the Yacht Club de Monaco. It was a incredible opportunity to elevate our region’s economic presence abroad and deepen global discussions on expanding our marine and maritime sectors—building directly on the organic strengths of Greater Miami’s world-class waterfront. A few key takeaways from the trip: 🌊 Shaping Resilient Investment: With the event centered on smart, sustainable marina development, the conversations and strategies shared are directly informing how we approach resilience, sustainability, and long-term capital investment in our local coastal economy. 🎙️ “The Trillion-Euro Asset Class”: Our President & CEO, Rodrick Miller, joined an esteemed panel of international marina investors and operators to discuss “The Trillion-Euro Asset Class: A New Era of Marina Investment.” Rod shared insights on what makes Miami-Dade a premier destination for global capital, the drivers behind our recent economic growth, and the lessons other waterfront cities can take from our public-private model. 🌎 The “Miami Effect” on the Global Stage: Throughout the Rendezvous, it was inspiring to hear Miami spontaneously referenced time and again as the benchmark market—the global point of reference that other international hubs measure themselves against. 🤝 Local Partnerships, Global Impact: We were glad to see Sam Payrovi, CEO of @arkhaus.club, the innovative team behind the floating solar-powered club off the MacArthur Causeway. Showing up together internationally reinforced that Greater Miami moves as a unified, forward-looking ecosystem. As we continue to position Miami-Dade as a top-tier destination for international trade, maritime innovation, and sustainable investment, moments like M3 ensure our region remains at the center of global economic growth. Thank you to the event organizers and leaders who made this convening possible: Avv. José Marco Casellini (CEO, M3 Monaco) | Sébastien Sanchez (Director of International Development & Operations, Monaco Marina Management) #EconomicDevelopment #MaritimeIndustry by @beaconcouncil
Strong local economies are built through strong partnerships. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of connecting with Gloria Baez, Vice President of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, for a productive conversation about expanding opportunities for small businesses in the City Beautiful. As STRIVE305 continues engaging with chambers, municipal leaders, and community stakeholders across Miami-Dade’s 34 municipalities, our focus remains on listening, identifying opportunities, and strengthening connections that deliver meaningful results. From access to capital and business resources to greater visibility and growth opportunities, our shared goal is to help local entrepreneurs build stronger, more resilient businesses. Because meaningful collaboration isn’t just about bringing people to the table. It’s about turning those conversations into opportunities for our business community. Thank you, Gloria, for the engaging discussion. Looking forward to what we can accomplish together! #STRIVE305 #CoralGables #SmallBusinessGrowth #EconomicDevelopmen #CityBeautiful by @beaconcouncil
