Who knew I was 236 and didn’t tell me 😩
Started looking like a hairy face Rollie Pollie 😂😂

But nah fr. This is awareness, yet celebratory post 🙌🏾 of determined growth and change…

30 months ago happy weight (gain) turned to grief and guilt (gain). Loss of income, dating relationship, friendships and self. Self identity, confidence, everything.. gone.

Shortly after came the guilt of all.. like what could I have done better, why did and was the happening to me, what else was I going to lose and who would take care of Chico for me if this was going to be it for me?

A few months later, I decided I want to turn the corner, start therapy (again), and get back to being happy and care-free. Little did I know, August 9, the day I made that decision, my mother’s birthday, I got news I never expected to receive.. my grandfather, on my mother’s side passed.

More grief. And that time I felt like I couldn’t breathe … nor did I know what was worse. The loss of a girl you’d thought you’d marry, the loss of an additional $2400 month, or the loss of a grandparent you were just learning so much.. esp how he helped pave the way to where I am now. IYKYK

Everything happens - plan, pack, get Chico boarded, drive to St. Louis, attend the funeral, be with family, and back to NC I go for the daily usual til the unusual, usual happens.

Six months go by. I look up it’s February..damn wtf.
More loss, more grief. 2 classmates, an uncle and a friend all pass within 2 weeks of each other…And til this day I don’t know the order of dates. I just know be here, be there, fly there, drive here, drive there, along with the daily usual and get Chico boarded when he needed to be.

Six months go by and I catch a break, oh, and a flight back home to Seattle 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 family time, fun, food, and the fair.. what more could I ask for!??? I could breathe (a lil), finally. And decide …

Decided to try something new.. decide to officiate volleyball as well. What an experience 😂😂😂 to say the least. Midway thru the season I go thru a podium and it hits me, questioning myself and life, why me.. yet again because even shortly after another business contract falls thru by @beardedhustlingking
