#nolastrong #prayersforneworleans by @beauxxmarie

On January 1, 2025, a tragedy unfolded on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, a place where many gathered to welcome the new year, full of hope and dreams for the future. Instead, those dreams were tragically cut short. In an unimaginable act of violence, 15 innocent lives were taken, and the vibrant energy of Bourbon Street was silenced.

There are no words strong enough to express the profound sadness and anger I feel in the wake of this horrific attack. To me, it is an unspeakable act of evil. I am heartbroken. The voices of the victims, the pain in their words, have brought me to tears. One statement that will forever stay with me is from the mother of Nikyra Dedeaux, who, through her grief, said, “When your parents say don’t go anywhere, please listen to them! This was an act of terrorism and now my baby is gone y’all! My baby is gone, and she is no longer with us.”

This tragedy is a reminder of the devastating effects of hate and terrorism, even within our own country. My heart aches for the loved ones affected by this attack, and for New Orleans. I pray for healing for those impacted by this horrific loss.

I am deeply moved by the strength and resilience of the New Orleans community. The way people have come together, supporting one another in the face of unimaginable pain, is truly inspiring. Humanity still exists!

Through God’s word, and by embracing God’s teachings, we can find the strength to face the challenges of this world. The more we seek his guidance, the more love, peace, and healing we will have. Only through faith and love can we overcome the darkness around us.

Rest in peace, beautiful souls. You are angels now🤍
