I spent a month in my home country of England and made some fantastic memories . I attended the largest freedom of speech protest in London , and met some really great people . I spent time with family and friends , saw a Shakespeare play , went to Holy Island with my sister , walked through Sherwood Forest and visited several Abbeys and castles . I was lucky enough to see a tapestry made by Mary Queen of Scots while she was held captive at Hardwick Hall. #england #london #love #travelphotography #castles #british #photographer #holyisland #travel #justgoshoot #patriot by @beckithorley

August in my home country of England . I decided to stay in the countryside this time , exploring my birth county of Staffordshire and the county of Derbyshire where I was raised until my move to London at 16. There is alot of tension in England at the moment , the British people are frustrated and feel unheard . Despite that , my time here has been absolutely wonderful so far . The countryside is unspoiled , traditions still remain . I am very proud to be English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. #england #english #naturephotography #naturelovers #staffordshire #derbyshire #travelphotography #photography #love #travel #patriot #greatbritain #unitedkingdom #august #summervibes #life #passion by @beckithorley

Yesterday my friend and I hiked Mam Tor in Derbyshire . I would spend a lot of time in the Peak District as a child but had never hiked Mam Tor so was determined to see it . Mam Tor means “Mother Hill “. This area was first occupied in 1200 BC , and I saw remains of the villages . So incredibly historic . The views were breathtaking , I hiked all four peaks and finished the 8 mile circular walk . When I am next home I will return at sunset as I can only imagine how incredible it must be at that time . “ Dare to live the life you have always wanted “. I flew spontaneously to England shortly before Christmas and it’s been wonderful . Even though cities here are becoming unrecognizable, and the country is crippled with strikes ,my neighborhood in London and the area I grew up in thankfully has pockets that remain the same.I spent time with my childhood friend , time with cousins, parents , shot two gigs , documented an illegal fox hunt , attended mass at a beautiful Catholic Church close to where I grew up , and got to spend time visiting my favorite castles and my beloved Fountains Abbey , which Henry V111 famously burnt down. So now the journey to America begins . Goodbye England , I’ll see you in May . #adventure #travel #england #derbyshire #explore #notallwhowanderarelost #winter #frost #winterwonderland photo by : Mum by @beckithorley

Mount Baker has always been my favorite mountain but for some reason on Saturday it was better than ever . Silent , spiritual and peaceful . “ In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks “. I went to Detroit with an open mind , not sure what to expect given all the negative reviews out there . It is now one of my favorite cities in America . My experience was all positive . It is a paradise for creatives . The most beautiful buildings , many now sadly abandoned , and friendly people who say hello to you . This photo is taken at the Michigan train station where Eminem recently filmed a music video . It is an abandoned building . #adventure #musiclife #photography #detroit #michigan #urbanphotography #urban #streetphotography #love #lawyerlife #abandonedplaces #abandoned_excellence #detroitmichigan #explore #lifeisbeautiful #lifeofadventure #discover photo by Greyson. by @beckithorley
