Have some respect for your audiences attention.

Posting something without offering anything of value, or making content using AI to write it for you lets us all know that whatever idea you had wasn't worth thinking about long enough to even write your own thoughts about it.

I definately won't be reading something that you didn't even want to write.

How far can we fall from Excellence?

The personality is an identification with our experience, built up and calcified over time.

The feelings we experience are often some interpretation of our current circumstances based on past experiences.

Most of the time we spend our lives trying to create a familiar experience, resisting what is really true in service of something more pleasant.

Even if that pleasant experience is simply a more familiar form of suffering.

Then we rope others into our dramas, playing out this fiction.

It is no wonder everyone we part ways with appears to be a narcissist.

They didnt play their role the way we wanted.

They had their own drama.

How disappointing to our personality.

Some of the deepest and hardest work for men (and women) is becoming clear and discerning about who we pursue in love.

It is easy to sacrifice real love for the promise or idea of love that keeps us chasing, distracted from our own loneliness.

But if you have depth, wisdom, clarity, you do not need to give access to yourself simply because it is desirable.

Does she honor you?

Does she demonstrate her respect for you?

Does she want what you want?

Is she considerate and accountable to how she treats you?

Or does she react when you hold a standard?

Does she deflect or blame you for her reactions?

Does she only want what you have to offer without meeting you in that contribution?

Access to your penetration, your purpose, your direction should be reserved for someone who values it with their whole heart.

This is not just some new age spiritual storytelling.

Bucke had a mystical experience, a complete severence from body awareness and experienced a profound state of enlightenment.

After that experience we dedicated his life to studying the nature of the mystical experience, finding records of people's experience throughout history and compiling this book asa result of his findings.

He says that they have been increasing in frequency as mankind evolves towards cosmic consciousness.

There were few messengers while mankind was still barbaric, worshiping idols and symbols.

But gradually, humanity has been awakening, and the mystical experiences have been occurring to more and more people.

Some through a lifetime of meditation, others by some strange accident.

But however they occur, Bucke has found an explaination.

Patterns repeat. Obviously.

But why?

Thats not for me to answer. Nor is the question "why" actually that helpful.

Instead, I ask what is the cycle. Can you really see it without guilt, or blame?

It is very clear that these patterns repeat because we can't see a way out of them.

Forgive yourself for that.
Forgive them for that.

Whatever the details of the pattern are, you can focus on forgiving those later.

Simply focus on forgiving one another for not being able to choose anything outside the pattern.

Social trends and styles are not a bad thing by any means. In fact they are a genuine expression of social cohesion.

They come and go, and then they return again.

But in the absence of a vertical teaching, of wisdom passed through generations, we end up having to relearn lessons that we once learned long ago.

We stop caring for our elders.

We stop listening to wisdom.

We leave the world a worse place for our children, and their children.

We look only to progress.

We lose connection to the land, to our history, and focus on our personal identity through taste and personality alone.

The deep self yearns for the timeless, not the trending.

Our true intentions are often hidden even from ourselves.

The desire to help people is one of the ways we give ourselves authority. The one helping is often seen as having authority compared to the one being helped.

This is also why it is so hard to ask for help. It is a powerless experience.

But I think when we are being honest, we most often want to help people because it makes us feel a sense of power, purpose, meaning.

And none of these is inherently wrong. So long as we are moving towards our own freedom, then turning around to help those behind you is an act of generosity.

But many people end up sacrificing themselves to help others. Their health and well being utterly spent. A martyr of "good intentions".

Or others buikd themselves up to be an icon of "help", siphoning power from others with their services.

Providing people with the opportunity to find their own freedom from suffering, from a place of having found your own, is all you can do.

Men and women relate at a different pace.

In my observation, on average, men move quicker than women when it comes to sex.

But women move quicker when it comes to emotions.

This is not the case when people are operating from a deeply dosregulated place, but aside from that I think most people find themselves in this dynamic.

A woman who can slow a man down in the sexual part of their relationship helps him connect more to his body and his heart.

A man who can help a woman slow down emotionally helps her connect more to her body and her heart.

This is the gift we offer one another.

And it is also something we have to cultivate for ourselves.

When I work with men, I try to help them slow down their sexual urgency, but also help them access the ability to articulate their feelings and needs in the moment.

Meeting a woman in her emotional capacity is something many men must work to develop, otherwise they will either steamroll her or stonewall her.

But the message that most of the men I support would like their girlfriends and wives to hear is, have patience and trust that he is working to meet you.

Listen fully before reacting.

If you are loyal to him, then your patience and trust is the deepest sign of respect you can give him.
