A little introduction to the woman behind the posts. 🤎

Daughter of God. Mom. Entrepreneur. Still learning, still growing, still becoming.

This space is where faith, fitness, beauty, business, leadership, and real life meet. Not because I have it all figured out, but because I’m learning to embrace every part of the journey.

I’m not here to portray perfection. I’m here to document the process, share what I learn, and become more intentional about the life I’m building.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

Becoming with Kat. This is just the beginning.

“The Art of Becoming” 💞🫂

This season has been teaching me that discipline is more than just motivation, it’s stewardship. Stewardship over my body, my health, my habits, my finances, and the life God has entrusted me with now. Through the early mornings, the workouts, the meal prep, and the consistency behind closed doors, I’m learning that becoming the woman I prayed for happens in the small daily choices no one claps for. This journey is so much deeper than aesthetics… it’s inward work, and honestly, I’m grateful for every part of it. Stick along for the journey 🫶🏽

One of the most interesting things I’ve been learning through personal development, particularly Brian Tracy’s teachings on self-concept, is that the way we see ourselves isn’t always a reflection of who we truly are. Sometimes, it’s a reflection of what we’ve been taught to believe about ourselves.

And that hit home.

For the longest time, I knew there wasn’t something fundamentally wrong with me. I just couldn’t articulate why I sometimes saw myself through the opinions, expectations, and perceptions of other people.

I didn’t know the terminology. I didn’t understand how conditioning, limiting beliefs, self-image, and self-concept played a role in shaping the way I thought about myself.

Brian Tracy teaches that our self-concept is made up of the beliefs we hold about ourselves, and those beliefs influence how we think, behave, and perform.

Think about that.

How many things have we accepted as truth simply because someone repeated them to us? How many limitations have we placed on ourselves because someone else’s perception became our own?

The work is learning to question those beliefs, challenge what no longer serves us, and consciously develop a healthier image of who we are and who we’re capable of becoming.

You are not obligated to carry every opinion you’ve ever received.

Learn yourself. Question your beliefs. Take responsibility for your thinking.

And never stop becoming.

Breaking generational cycles isn’t just about changing how we live. It’s about changing what we leave behind.

From our health and mindset to our financial education, protection, and the wealth we build for generations to come.

The goal isn’t just to leave something for our children, but to teach them how to build upon it.

The greatest investment you’ll ever make is in yourself.

Your mind, your body, your discipline, your finances, your confidence, your character.

Stop waiting for life to change. Start becoming the person capable of creating the life you want.

“As a young professional building her life” are words I never imagined I’d say about myself. 🥹

There was a time when this version of life felt so far away. And now, I’m living through the very process I once hoped for.

Between work, business, networking, personal growth, the gym, and everything in between, I’m learning that building a life takes intention. It takes showing up, being consistent, embracing opportunities, and being willing to grow through every season.

I’m not where I want to be just yet, but I’m grateful I’m no longer where I used to be.

One day at a time. One opportunity at a time. With God at the center of it all. 🤎

Still building. Still learning. Still #becoming #explore #explorar #grow #adayinmylife❤️ by @becomingwithkat

You don’t have to follow the crowd to walk in your calling.

Different standards. Different priorities. Different fruit.

Sometimes I sit back and think, “I can’t believe this is my life now.” 🥹

Being in a room with people who are not only leading me, but pouring into me with love, wisdom, knowledge, and genuinely investing in my growth is something I don’t take for granted.

Friday’s team retreat reminded me that what we’re building at Cross Community is bigger than a company or a job. Ben shared the vision behind Magis—the pursuit of something greater—and what it means to see the potential in people who may have been overlooked, underestimated, or never imagined themselves in these rooms.

We’re not just here to work for the community; we’re here to work with the community, to serve, to build, and to bring the love of God into the places and lives that need it.

One of my favorite moments was writing down the changes we want to commit to in our own lives so we can better serve others. Ben brought a plant to symbolize those commitments, and in six months, we’ll revisit what we planted and see how much we’ve grown. 🌱

Because before we can bring change to a community, we have to be willing to let that change begin in us.

I’m grateful to be surrounded by people who don’t just see what I can contribute, but also care about who I’m becoming along the way. This is bigger than a job, and I’m excited to see what grows from the seeds planted on Friday.

Still learning, still growing, and saying yes even when I’m not fully ready. God is teaching me that growth happens when I trust Him enough to show up. 🩵
