Day 12 and 13 - Ripped and Drink #inktober2025

I am late by a week. But I have nothing in this long weekend. So when the world gets together, celebrates exuberance, I choose a quiet corner in a café and sketch.

I liked this prompt because it challenged me to work on anatomy which I clearly have a long way to go but hey, I am better than yesterday and will get better tomorrow. To my solitude and art, getting Ripped, cheers. I drink to this forever. 😀

Day 11: Sting #inktober2025

This is like a personal story. Not many know that I did this for my mother when I was I was in class 6. Bought her flowers from our school garden and got chased by bumble bees. Unlike honey bees, bumble bees make their hives inside the ground and are far more vicious than their cousins. I escaped that day but the strangest thing was that Maa's slap stung me harder for being silly. Childhood trauma still lingers when people hurt, after I do things for them. Bee stings are better, I now know.

Day 10 - Sweep. #inktober2025

I took inspiration from #banksy here. The classic Sweep under the carpet by a maid, redone with the classic Indian house help. The story tells so much although I would have liked to make this more powerful in the form, but hey, one day at a time.

Combining Day 8 and 9 prompts, Reckless and Heavy for a piece that was fairly simple to compose with the state of mind I have been since the past few months. Like I said in the beginning Inktober 2025 will be personal.

I like playing with metaphors. They are powerful and can say so much without saying much.

Another day, another Mashup of Inktober prompts. This one being pierce and starfish. I realise its the story that I want to tell in my Mashup that takes longer than the sketch. This was quick one with two different references from @pinterest .

This also got be thinking that I guess I want to get a tattoo done on my back too. Maybe this is a cue.

Hey do encourage me by liking and sharing if it comes on your feed.

The prompt are increasingly personal to my own state of mind - dark and brooding. But so be it. Autumn has never been easy.

And the annual pilgrimage of art begins. I almost 4 days late to the part and hence will merge 3 prompts in the few of my pieces.

So here is the Crowned Moustached king of music Freddie weaving a delight for us always.

Show some love (and hate) with likes, reshares and comments as well.

$Once in a lifetime we have a phenomenon who leaves such a lasting impact. Zubeen Da, forever in our hearts. I wish I had drawn this not as an obituary but more as a piece of Fan Art. It still is. {ZubeenGarg} {RIPzubeen, assam, mayabini} by @beeno_anartist$

I grew up reading his stories. I still am reading his stories. That should tell you all enough what this man means to me. Thank you, @ruskinbondofficial, for giving me worlds to live in and eyes to imagine them with. Happy birthday, young man. 💙

I do not socialize as much as people think I do. I just head over to @bluetokaicoffee , sip my coffee, observe their staff and baristas, and sketch them. For more than two years, I have found stories unseen in their cafes across India. I do not frequent the Khan Market one a lot but whenever I do, I make it a point to leave their staff with a smile, reciprocating the ones that I get when they serve me a hot cup of Chikmanglur beans roasted to perfection. My cafè pieces of work are just meditative musings when I am thinking of life. Life is, after all, like coffee - medium to dark roast, but immensely flavourful.

Observations under the table. Unpaired symphony. Eh!
