Finishing my #Glistember project after Xmas because why not. 🌸 This is Rust, Peach Cream and Cherryade aka Door 18-20. This one was a quickie, I just dotted on my liner in a flower-shape, added in a flower in Traffic Cone and called it a day. Felt very Barbiecore. 💖

I wore it on an otherwise makeup-free face which is something I’m practicing … feeling comfortable in bold liner with nothing else on.

❣️: I smoothed my pores a bit on this photo (I’m also practicing being okay with how my pores look through an HD camera). If I edit my photos, I’ll always note it in the caption.

Part two of my twofer is this liner I did for a comedy show with friends on the 17th.

This one turned out really pretty, but it was a bit much for me with the wing. Next time, I’ll try it with the dots alone. I used the end of a thick brush for those, so this one was pretty simple to do!

The most difficult part was that for the first time ever, I worked with a Glisten wet liner that stained (the dark blue), so cleaning up mistakes was a bit of a hassle.
The angle of my wing was also less severe than the one I usually do, which gave me a bit of trouble as well.

Liners: The Royals, Seltzer, Grape and Vanilla.

As someone who’s pretty new to makeup, I’ve found doing a look a day was definitely biting off more than I could chew. Less than halfway through December, it started to feel less like a fun challenge and more like a chore. So, henceforth, combining days it is!

So, I totally fell off the wagon, so today's a twofer. Here’s my December 15th look, using Milk and Limeade from the two days previous, as well as my Glisten Pride Liner and Coffee Cup for freckles.

It’s supposed to be a candy cane with rainbow coloured stripes, as I was headed to Queermas, but being multi-coloured it doesn’t quite look it. Still, I was pretty happy with this one!

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

❣️ For transparency: I’ve edited out an eyelash that had stuck to my under eye while I was taking pictures. I’ve also used a bit of noise reduction to soften the look of my pores. If I edit my photos, I’ll always make it clear because real makeup has flaws and real skin has pores.

An attempt was made. 🙈 Today, I was feeling really uninspired, so I just thought hey, how about I try something new and start the wing under my eye instead? Yeah. Maybe not.

Wet liner in Peach. Long, thin brush. No mascara, no nothing, so easy to wipe off in a minute and try again tomorrow.

It’s supposed to be an olive branch (because today’s liner was called “Olive Tree”, creative; I know), but according to popular opinion it’s giving mistletoe or kelp. 🫒

I used a thin, long brush to create the branch in one swoop. Then I used that same brush to create the leaves by using the side of the brush as a stamp. Finally I used the butt of a thicker brush to create oblong olive shapes. Another beginner-friendly look!

One look, three doors of my Glisten Advent Calendar because sometimes it be like that.
I tried to do a Winter Berries look and used all of the shades I got on the 7th, 8th, and 9th: Menthe, Buff, and Pottery. ✨

I used the butt of one of my bigger brushes to create the berries, and stamped on the leaves with the side of my brush.

Super beginner-friendly!

Even though I’m a few looks short of one look a day, this continues to be the most fun I’ve ever had opening an advent calendar. 😍

Put a bow on it. 🎀 I tried to recreate this bow look by @glowbysoph using the Red Velvet Spit Liner behind door number 6. I tried – and failed – to create dimension using the two different shades of red. If I were to redo it, I’d move the bow closer to my eye and change up the shape to make my hood look a little less heavy. 🤔

Day five in Fig. 💜 This liner is inspired by Morana’s graphic liner in Castlevania because why not. 🧛🏾‍♀️

Behind door number four was a Split Liner in Cotton Candy. 💓

I first tried to create fluffy cotton candy clouds by dipping a tiny blending sponge in my wet liner and stamping the different colours onto my lids. ☁️
I then added a wing to make it more cohesive and day number four was in the books.

❣️Today, my skin was very oily and my pores were wide open and taking a close-up picture of my makeup-free skin really highlighted that. So, before posting this picture I smoothed my skin a bit to get rid of some of the shine. If I edit my pics, I will always mention in the caption. Normal skin has pores.

🎶 B is for Boss Bitch. 🎶 Today, I combined door number 2 and 3 to create a look for tonight’s Tessa concert. 💅 My liner is usually more eccentric than glam but I’m trying to match Tessa’s vibe and give baddie today. 👸🏻✨

Door number two: Cola Wet Liner
Door number three: Vegas Wet Liner

I added freckles using Glisten’s Coffee Cup Wet Liner. My favourite way to do freckles is dotting them on my finger first, then using my finger to stamp them onto my face. 🤓

What’s your best tip for natural looking freckles?

I’d figured there’d be a brush behind door number one but there were THREE. 😍 Yes, value! 👏
I was going for “snowy pine branch” for my December 1st look, but I only had half an hour to pull it off before heading out into the actual snow, aaand I definitely needed more time to make it work. 😅

I used my green liner from the Pride Palette (which is a bit too neon for pine), and then I used the thin long brush for the branch, and the flat brush for the needles. With the flat brush, I was able to stamp on the pine needles which made it super quick. I flicked a mascara brush with my white liner to create snowflakes. 🤓
