Exposed brick walls add so much character, but decorating them without causing damage requires a thoughtful approach.

I recently shared my approach in @thespruceofficial , in a piece by @melissaepifano highlighting seven ways to decorate an exposed brick wall. Honored to be featured alongside fellow designers.

Brick walls are a defining feature in many New York homes; they’re meant to be embraced, not hidden, when styled with intention.

We’re excited to share our recently completed project—a Penthouse kitchen and dining space remodel in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood—designed with both elegance and functionality in mind for a young NYC family. 🤍

The kitchen is light and airy with off-white cabinetry and a warm oak island, flowing into a moodier dining area framed by floor-to-ceiling windows. The contrast creates depth while keeping the entire space cohesive and open.

With two young children in the household, every detail—from furniture to materials—was selected to be as durable and practical as it is beautiful. A true balance of form and function.

Wait until you see what this kitchen looked like —I’ll share a “before” photo in an upcoming post.✨

Some fun facts about me:
I live in a cozy Manhattan apartment with my musician husband Hans and our three year old cat, Rostam. JSYK, Rostam is a Persian mythical hero!
Separate from my design practice, I am a part-time faculty member at Parsons School of Design since 2018 where I graduated and have taught design studies and theories. You can also occasionally find me playing the Tombak (Iranian drum) at events around the city. Come say hi!

If a home project is on your mind for 2027, now is a great time to start the conversation. ✨

Whether you’re thinking about a renovation, planning a kitchen or bath remodel after the holidays, or hoping to have a furnishing project completed by spring, starting early gives us more time to plan the details, make thoughtful decisions, and bring the right team together. This is especially important for renovations that may involve an architect and contractor alongside the interior designer.

If any of these sound like you, we’d love to hear about your project!

And there’s something new to explore! We’ve recently refreshed our website, and we’d love for you to take a look. 🤍

Visit the link in our bio to explore our work and submit your project inquiry for 2027.

Custom vs. ready-made: When is custom worth it?

Not everything in your space needs to be custom-made. But sometimes, the best solution simply doesn’t exist off the shelf.

One of the biggest advantages of custom millwork and built-ins is the ability to make the most of your space, combining seating, storage, and display in a way that feels like a natural extension of the surrounding furnishings.

Sometimes, that’s what makes custom worth the investment. ✨

A little corner with a lot to say. 🤍

Letting color blur the line between a simple painted surface and a wall wrapped in romance, with a touch of mother-of-pearl to bring it all together.

Sometimes the smallest design moments at our projects are my favorites. ✨

A little peek into what’s been inspiring us lately. ✨

Sharing a few beautiful entry vestibules that inspired the design direction for our Upper East Side renovation.

Everyone who knows me knows I love creating a moment with an arch, especially when that moment marks the entrance into a space. 🤍

We’ve taken bits of inspiration from all of these while making the design completely our own, and I can’t wait to share our vestibule once it comes to life!

Sharing some of the spaces, details, and design moments that caught my eye during my visit to the @kbshowhouse . Lots of dusty pink, blush, and burgundy, along with textured and hand-painted wall finishes. ✨

There’s something so special about receiving words like these. 🤍

Being trusted with someone’s home is never something we take for granted, and we’re incredibly grateful for every client who chooses to go through the design journey with us.

So happy to have been part of transforming this Chelsea home. ✨

Thinking about your own project? We’d love to hear from you.
