Happy Sunday ♥️ Black Grandmothers have always been the backbone of our communities, passing down wisdom, traditions, and a legacy of resilience. Through our own healing journey’s we recognize how their voices and experiences were ignored or dismissed and how that may have influenced their actions this leading to generational traumas many of us are fighting to heal.

Today, we feel the power of their prayers, which have sustained us through the toughest of times. As we work towards a more equitable and just world, we must honor our grandmothers and their struggles, forgive their shortcomings in the name of resilience and use our voices to amplify their stories and fight for their rights.

Let us be the generation that breaks the cycle of silence, and believes black women the first time. #BelieveBlackWomen #GrandmothersPrayers #LegacyOfResilience by @believeblackwomenthefirsttime

Tamarra’s Story… is about getting what you deserve. Yes #BelieveBlackWomenTheFirstTime can mean our life, but it means our bag too. 💰

A study by the JPMorgan Chase Institute found that Black women-owned businesses are less likely to receive loans than businesses owned by other demographic groups. This lack of access to capital can make it more difficult for Black women entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses— and continue projects like this. Tomorrow is just the beginning! This project is for generations of Black women who didn’t have the luxury of pursuing more. Who weren’t able to tell their stories. Who are expected to settle, play small and not take up space. This project is for Black women to be seen and heard, to live life loudly and pursue our dreams unapologetically. We are so deeply grateful of the community we’ve begun to build. Let’s continue to build something that our ancestors would be proud of and our youth so desperately need. #believeblackwomenthefirsttime #womenshistorymonth #womensday by @believeblackwomenthefirsttime

We believe that everyone deserves to be heard, and that's why we're launching a video series to amplify the voices of Black women across various industries beginning with: Black Women In Production.

From all walks and stages of production the project will explore the ways in which black women's voices have been suppressed and erased from mainstream narratives. We will also provide a platform for black women to share their stories and experiences, and create opportunities for them to connect with and support one another.
