DAY 2. I got my hearing tested on camera.
First thing they said when I walked in: “wow, you’re way too young to be here.” Tell that to my ears.

Watch the difference: HEARING AIDS OFF vs ON. My real audiogram at the end — mild to moderately-severe loss, both ears.

This is why I play by feel. Follow for Day 3.

They call me the modern-day Beethoven — because like him, I’m losing my hearing.

But here’s what people don’t understand: I don’t play with my ears. I play with my hands, my body. I feel the vibration through the keys, through the floor, through my chest.

These aren’t just pianos. I’ve been paid to play three of Liberace’s own.

And every note you’re hearing? I feel it before I hear it.

DAY 1. Follow for Day 2 of the journey of an almost deaf artist who plays by ear
