Tai Chi Dance with Owl ~~~ To move from center is to move as one… This workshop explores the realms of energy movement, balance, intentional coordination, and the fluidity of water. Integrating tai chi into dance is not about moving or appearing any particular way. Instead, it’s an invitation to restore and deepen our connection with the Earth, and walk more fully in the glory of our authentic selves. Our weekly eDance offers a facilitated movement experience called Soma Lab. It’s included in the regular cost of entry. Each Week: 7-7:45pm Soma Lab 8-10pm Ecstatic Dance All together $22-18 Sliding Scale Payment BendEcstaticDance.com by @bend.ecstaticdance

Max of 10 Participants! Limited number of aerial silks Dm Ryza for your Spot A rare, special and unique Soma Lab from Kailyn Bailey, a regular teacher at Tula. Restorative/Yin Aerial Yoga “As we move into the darker half of the year that shifts us more inward. I want for offer a moment of pause, relaxation and restoration before we move into our ceremony. Deep stretches with light mobility will soften, open and prepare your body for dance. Aerial yoga adds a playful and fun element to traditional yoga. Using the silk hammock to aid in deeper stretches, inversions, and strengthening muscles without strain all while building new neural pathways. The silk hammock offers gentle swaying that adds a calming stress relief element to our practice. It is accessible to all levels of yogis, and can help those achieve poses that may be more challenging on their own. Inversion therapy does wonders for spinal decompression, and blood flow while providing a fascia massage.” -Kailyn Our weekly eDance offers a facilitated movement experience called Soma Lab. As one of the founders of the legendary Remedy SF events, Brian Kadmiri has produced transformational experiences for over two decades, DJing for 15 years and bringing some of the world’s most respected artists to the stage. Brian’s journey began in 1990, during the rise of rave culture, when the rhythms of electronic music became a form of soul awakening. The foundational values of the movement, Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect resonated deeply, inspiring him to dedicate his life to music, community, and creating spaces that uplift consciousness. Over time, the call to step behind the decks and craft his own music became undeniable, and Medicine Muzic was born. Following a period of personal transformation and spiritual awakenings, Brian relocated to mystical Mount Shasta, known as the root chakra of the planet, to explore the healing power of music and dance in deeper ways. This path led him into the heart of conscious music festivals, ecstatic dance, and spiritually-driven sound experiences. As a result, Brian became co-facilitator for Mount Shasta’s Ecstatic Dance for many years and continues to assist to this day. Medicine Music travels globally, sharing his signature sound alongside visionary artists, musicians, and producers. He describes his music as a journey through mystical, ambient, tribal, and psychedelic spaces. His sets move from deep, organic tribal house to global sounds spanning Meso-American Medicine Music, World Music, ie: African, Latin, Eastern Indian & Brazilian, Electronic Bass Music, Reggae, Drum N Bass, Dubstep, Hip Hop, and sacred frequencies—all intended to uplift, heal, and expand consciousness. “I see all of it as healing medicine music". by @bend.ecstaticdance

The height of glory rains sunBeams this week. bodyArt invitations to become the Music. A setList from one of the Best. Amari. RAW “Growth isn’t always graceful; it isn’t always composed. Sometimes we have to drag ourselves across the finish line - leaving us tender, exposed & utterly raw. This dance encapsulates the layers of shedding we’re still being called to release, and what, or rather who, remains on the other side of it all. Through this dance, we get to unravel onto the floor and give ourselves permission to feel it all - the release, the tenderness, the uncertainty, and the becoming.” -Amari 7-7:45 Soma Lab with Brittney Cox-Slowing Down to Expand, Contact Dancing 8-10pm Ecstatic Dance with Amari Dova $22-18 sliding scale payment Ages 12+    Bend Ecstatic Dance is Every Thursday at Tula Movement Arts 2797 NW Clearwater Drive Bendecstaticdance.com Since 2014 Tula is a gorgeous studio that is 1/2 hardwood dance floor and 1/2 gymnastic tumbling mats blended into a dual play space unique in its invitations to body explorations. The wise walk of Brittney Cox wakes us this week with Slowing down to expand “Contact improvisation offers infinite possibilities, and yet we easily get locked into the few things we know. Sorrow and grief. Love and elation. Pick your dance partner for the night. The name ecstatic dance can be confusing. The path to ecstasy usually does not begin there. We’re often thinking that dance is flippant and to find yourself doing it last night could be sacrilegious. That’s when we’re not remembering that the pain of the world is wound in muscle as much as spirit. That free movement of body in harmony with heart and authentic expression is what kills the killers within. We were 30 people last night in vigil. In yogic yolk of community. As one dancer shared in the end, I danced for something greater than me, I moved for the children; and when I did that I could not care how I looked, I was prayer in motion. A great writer, speaker and sage Martin Prechtel points to grief and says the only fountain to joy is in there. As far as you want to travel towards joy you will need to travel there as well. When the village can tear out its hair in blind madness of loss then it will be prepared for ecstasy. by @bend.ecstaticdance

BodyHeart Enchantress Carolyn Candela leads the SomaLab this week. Her caring, loving dance-altar craftations have been deepening our vessel’s spirit and now we get to experience her yogaTeach. Heart Opening Yoga & Intuitive Dance “Soften your body. Open your heart. Let yourself move. In this gentle, nourishing movement journey, we’ll explore the connection between the heart and body through slow, melty yoga, conscious breath, and intuitive movement. Beginning with grounding and heart-opening postures, we’ll invite the body to release its armor and soften into sensation. From this place of openness, we’ll transition into an intuitive dance exploration, allowing movement to arise organically rather than from the thinking mind. Let this be an invitation to surrender, feel, play, and let your heart lead the way.” -Carolyn Our weekly eDance offers a facilitated movement experience called Soma Lab.
