POSTS STORIES REELS

Early this year, in a meeting with my Founder-in-Chief 😂 @du.pee , I pitched an idea for a weekly news roundup segment.
I walked over to the whiteboard in our main office and wrote it down: “What’s Lit in Literature!”

The idea was simple: to document African literary news and make it more accessible, with a language and a roundup format that felt fresh, engaging, and uniquely ours.

Fast-forward 19 weeks, over 30 news roundups, and more than 60,000 views on Instagram alone, and I’m so proud of this little idea I dreamt up.

From its cheeky name to the buzz we’ve created and the authors, stories, and initiatives we’ve highlighted, I’m incredibly happy with how far What’s Lit in Literature has come. It’s my baby, and I’m so excited to see how it continues to grow and evolve!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of my Editor-in-Chief, Modupe, and our ever-capable social media handler @ang3lwoman
Thank you for sustaining this idea. ❤️

Here’s to continuing to shine a light on all the exciting things happening in African literature and making sure more people get to know about them.

Also, if you aren't following @noisy.streetss what are you waiting for?

Stay Lit! ✨

For World Youth Skills Day, we put the spotlight on 10 professionals and asked them to share the lessons they’ve learnt along the way.

This International Youth Day, we’re turning the spotlight to our own community.

FUSE Varsity and @trybebyfuse have always been about more than learning a skill.

They’re spaces where people learn, find community, meet mentors, discover opportunities, build confidence, and take the next step in their journeys.

And we’ve had the privilege of watching many of those journeys unfold.

So we asked 10 young people from our community:
“What are you building, and how has learning helped you get there?”

Their answers are stories of careers being shaped, businesses being built, products being created, skills being developed, and dreams slowly becoming something real.

We’re proud that FUSE and TrybebyFUSE have been part of some of these journeys.

But today, the spotlight belongs to them.

And to every young person in our community who is still learning, still figuring it out, and still building.

This International Youth Day, we’re celebrating you.

From all us at, FUSE Varsity and TrybebyFUSE. 💙🧡
