We spoke with @metalhammeruk about From Nothing and how the album works through humanity's chaos, letting rage, reflection, and moments of unexpected beauty come through. Read the full feature in the printed March issue. “Sprightly progressive metal for your next existential crisis” Massive thanks for the feature! 📸 @amaliacicala by @benthos_official
Grateful for the overwhelming appreciation we received for our sets at @rdrfestival and @arctangentfestival this summer. Here are some of our favourite quotes. Our hearts are full 🧡 We're ready to bring this energy back to the stage and then some, in just two weeks. by @benthos_official
Our new album From Nothing is finally out. This is the most ambitious work of our lives so far, and we hope you'll dig it. Many thanks to everyone who helped bring this to life, and to all of you for the support you give us every day. Music by Gabriele Papagni and Benthos Lyrics by Gabriele Papagni and Alessandro Tagliani, plus Matteo Allegra on “Athletic Worms” Additional percussion by Gaspare Renna on “Perpetual Drone Monkeys” Mixed by Federico Ascari Mastered by Tony Lindgren A huge thanks to our manager @amaliacicala, @bands.management, and the incredible @insideoutmusic for trusting our vision. From Nothing is available everywhere. Check out our website and grab a copy in your favourite format! And if you're in Milan, don't miss the listening party tonight at @headbangerspubmilano. We'll be there to listen to the album together, chat, and have some drinks. You might even walk away with some freebies! #benthosband #newmusic #allnewmetal #progressivemetal #mathcore by @benthos_official
A lot of new faces here this week, so: welcome. We're Benthos, a five-piece from Milan. Our songs move between prog, mathcore, post-hardcore and the occasional jazzy detour, and they're a lot louder live than they look on paper. But we don't really care about genre labels If you don't know where to start, slide 2 might help. We hope you'll stick around 🪲 Thanks to @theheavyloud for putting us on that list and sending you our way ❤️‍🔥 Which one's your favourite so far? by @benthos_official
5 Underrated Bands (Part 4) 🤘 This week’s episode of 5UB is absolutely destructive. We’ve got 5 must-know bands plus one bonus band that I HAD to include. The weirdest tour goodbye ever 🧅 Last night of our run with @haken_official in Rome and @ihloband made sure we didn't leave without a proper send off, so this very Italian moment happened. Grazie friends, you're awesome ❤️ What's the best brainrot card we got? 👇🏻 -- #italianbrainrot #progressivemetal #tourlife by @benthos_official
Our tour with @haken_official and @ihloband is over! We'd like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, everyone who made it possible: Our manager/tour manager/photographer/everything woman @amaliacicala, for her incredible hard work and for believing in us so much, we really wouldn't be here without her Our amazing driver @lexnex333, for putting up with us for all those hours (poor soul) @_andresix, our sound technician for these gigs, who is both incredibly talented and the sweetest guy ever Our new friends from Haken and Ihlo, for being such inspiring musicians and for making us feel so welcome @hc_white, for putting us forward and orchestrating these shows behind the scenes with infinite patience, and @niogmvelez for taking care of everything on the ground And you all, for bringing such energy and love every time you show up. All of this will be the fuel for new music, and we're already looking forward to bringing it to you. Recupereremo presto ❤️ by @benthos_official
