✨Who is Berges_Books ?! ✨

Hi! I’m Madeleine! A 30-something SAHM of two precious kiddos! Wifey of 10 years and dog mom to a crazy lab!

✨romance and fantasy are my go to genres, but I dabble in lit fic, thrillers, general fic, and more!
✨I LOVE character arcs/development
✨My Roman Empire series is TOG
✨Favorite authors include: Katie Bailey, Sarah Adams, BK Borrison, JA Forde, Jessica Joyce, Bex Alexander, and Rebecca Ross!
✨I read a mix of audio, kindle, and physical books!
✨I love repping for @themellowmug_ @theloveboundedit and @paper_and_glow
✨you’ll find me reviewing books, yapping about current reads, shouting out recs, and telling you about my fav merch/accessories!!
✨I love voice memos and when people drop in my DMs!
✨I’m always honored when authors reach out about arc reading even if I have to say no due to time constraints!
✨I’m a mood reader through and through!
✨when I’m not reading you’ll catch me exercising, momming, cleaning, or hanging out with those I love!!
✨huge fan of the library and local bookstores! Barnes also get a lot of love because my stepdad retired from there!!
✨coffee is essential! I love a drip with a splash of milk, a cortado, or an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk!
✨obsessions out of books: my family, Nobody Wants This, Taylor Swift, dogs, the importance of community, walking/running for fun, talking about mental health, and laughing a stupid reels/memes!

do we have anything in common? Let me know a book rec for 2026 or something you were excited for this year!? by @berges_books

The other day, I asked what books made you think of @berges_books in my stories…these were the most common answers. It is fair to say, I am down bad for ALL these books/authors….and need to yap about some of my other favorites some more! 🤭

Books that make you think BERGES BOOKS!
💜Kindreds Curse Saga by @authorpenncole (we support HENRI)
💜TOG Series by @sarahjmaas (specifically Fenrys/KOA)
💜On a Flight to Sydney by @the.sah.authormom (y’all are gonna add Tahoe to this list soon)
💜ANYTHING by @authorsarahadams (fair-read and love all of her)
💜I’ll Paint You a Sunset Someday by @bexwritesbooks (MY GIRL..also peep that @thehikinghoundsco merch)
💜Near Miss by @haleylwrites (the epitome of a down bad MMC)
💜The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (MY WHOLE SOUL)

Tagging some people to ask in THEIR STORIES AND DO THIS. Cause it was FUN!

Did any of your suggestions make the cut? If you didn’t see my story, what books would you have added?! by @berges_books

“I’d like to hang out with you, my whole lifeeeeee!” - @taylorswift

I semi-recently won a giftaway that @stephanies_reads hosted & won the most stunning @laurapavlovauthor book!!

I have only read one other book by Laura so far, but this one completely hooked me!!!!! Everyone knows grumpy man is heaven for me!!! Especially when he’s a softie for those who he really loves!!!! And Bass delivered!!!!

Briar oh how I wanted to just reach through the pages and hug her!!!! The longing for your family/people to love you & the willingness to put up with less than you deserve is so dang relatable!!!!

I truly loved this book—the boys group chat was something I was always excited to see on page!!!!

If you’ve read @laurapavlovauthor where do I go?! What do I read?! Guide meeee! If you haven’t tell me, do you prefer books in small towns or big cities?! by @berges_books

Do you know some people still believe women shouldn’t have the right to vote?

If motherhood, literacy, health, and the importance of education aren’t driving you to vote.

Maybe the rage that some don’t think you deserve that right drives you to get out and vote today.

Go vote! Please. by @berges_books

$I’m a ride or ☠️. @authorjaforde fan and she knows it!!!! I was so honored to get to read an arc of Holiday Ever Aloha!!! it was the perfect Christmas Novella! We have a head coach who I am hoping to see more of in future books! Hockey coach?! YES PLEASE!!!! This was such a perfect sweet, spicy, holiday romance just set the mood off right this holiday season!! It felt like Forde was coming back home with a destination romance! Reed + Amelia are 🎄❤️🫶 Oh and if you are feeling festive @heartandhallelujah has all her Christmas up in her shop! how Sarah made me fall in love with these characters in five short chapters?! I’ll never know. But the magic was there and I absolutely loved it!

Thank you @brilliancepublishing for this arc! It was the perfect sweet story to enjoy!!!!! by @berges_books

Listen, everyone apparently has very strong opinions on ACOSH & I’m over here just decorating my kindle and only having read three chapters! 🫠🤣🫠🤣

I’ve been distracted by arcs (what?! Gasping in surprise I know)!!

@noelleihliauthor & @authorsarahadams & @laurapavlovauthor books are all fighting for my attention right now because I’m LOVING THEM!!

Stickers from @thehikinghoundsco / @heartandhallelujah & @themellowmug_ !!!! Well they might not be licensed with SJM anymore, they still have plenty of amazing merch. Check them out!!!!! by @berges_books

Happy carline reading! 📖

Currently reading on my kindle: The Last Goodbye by @laurapavlovauthor & Merry Misconduct by @authorkatiebailey (thanks to @bookedwiththeemilys )!

Four day weekend with the kiddos & time with my nephews is coming up!

Do you celebrate Halloween, if so what are your plans? When does it become Christmas in your house?!

I’m debating putting up a couple decorations Nov. 1st 🎄🎉🤣 by @berges_books

Hi from your fast reading friend, who has only read one chapter so far! 😘

I normally fly through books and book releases, but this week I have had to prioritize family, work, and exercise! That means reading has taken a backseat!

Just now reading is supposed to be a hobby and fun if it is causing you stress, put aside and enjoy what you’re doing!

Also, don’t ever feel behind if you can’t keep up with new releases or a slower reader! As somebody who usually devoured a new release, it has been sweet to savor it and take my time getting to it!!!!

Where are you in your splintered Harmony journey?!?! by @berges_books

Hi 10/10 recommend @storylinesbysav and her pajamas! I snagged these bamboo ones on sale, and know I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for more sales because they’re dreamyyyyyyyy!!!

@litwithandie were you lead I’m followingggg!!!

I’ve barely reading this week, but desperately want to!!! How is your week?! Whatcha reading?! by @berges_books

Thank you @bookedwiththeemilys & @annekempauthor for the #gifted copy!

Title: The Overtime Persuasive
Author: Anne Kemp
Genre: Romance
Publication Date: October 8–OUT NOW!

Okay, my favorite part is the man knows how to apologize. What. A. Skill. That. All. Need. To. Have. I really loved this one! Eva is so sweet & trying to find her place in the world. Liam is trying to find his place too just in a different way.

I loved watching them find each other & realize what they have needed/wanted has always been right next to them. :) I adored how Lucy (Eva’s BF & Liam’s sister) was so genuinely pumped. I really felt like the hockey team was coming together with some solid found family in this one.

And the joy I had when I saw who the next book is abouttttt!!! It’s what I was rooting for! I cannot wait!

Tropes:
💗Best Friend’s Brother
💗Forced Proximity
💗Grumpy/Sunshine
💗He Falls First
💗Longtime Secret Crush
💗Found Family
