We support organisations, young people and communities to have a positive impact in London, Birmingham and the South of England.

POSTS STORIES REELS

A team of @berkeley_group volunteers headed to #CommunityPartner @alexanderdevinehospice last week, helping to run its pop-up toy shop.

The shop offers an opportunity for visitors to browse and purchase toys in a friendly, community-focused environment, whilst the funds raised help support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

A huge thank you to our Berkeley volunteers, @Julie Hughes and @Andreea Avram, for supporting Alexander Devine and making a difference in their local community.

As Andreea shared:

"Volunteering with Alexander Devine was a truly positive and rewarding experience. It felt great to know that our contribution supported such an important cause, and it was a reminder of how valuable teamwork and volunteering can be in making a real difference within the community."

Our partnership with Alexander Devine has been going since 2018, helping to fund a range of support for families – including respite care and specialist play.

Our work is supported by more than 2,000 @berkeley_group colleagues, whose ideas, energy and enthusiasm help us have a deeper impact in our communities.

This year
🎯59% of colleagues got directly involved in our work
🎯A total of £660,000 was raised for our charity partners
🎯Colleagues gave 1,980 hours of volunteering time for a range of projects with charity partners

Our 2026 staff survey showed that Berkeley colleagues are overwhelmingly proud of the company’s support for the Foundation. It also highlighted that getting to know a charity more deeply gives colleagues an added motivation to stay involved – strengthening relationships on all sides.

🎃🧁 Trick or treat? Definitely treat!

The @berkeley_group office in Cobham has been getting into the Halloween spirit with a spooktacular bake sale.

Their frighteningly delicious treats raised £431 for our #CommunityPartner @changeofsceneuk, helping the charity provide animal-assisted outdoor learning experiences for young people🌿

A frightfully good effort from everyone involved! 👻 by @berkeleyfoundation

This year’s Black History Month is focused around honouring our communities – highlighting people and organisations that hold them together.

Community is built through connection, shared knowledge, culture, and mutual support. Our #ResilienceFund partner @poeticunity runs the ‘Mandem, Let's Talk’ programme for young black men in Brixton. It’s designed to help participants build confidence, boost self-esteem, and challenge the stigma often associated with discussing mental health.

The sessions explore issues that particularly affect young men, whilst also promoting positive attitudes around gender equality.

Programme Manager Ehireme Omoaka comments:
"People walk in with self-doubt, asking themselves 'who am I', and seeking support that is found in the brotherhood which is this group."

We’re celebrating four years in partnership with @st_giles_trust 🎉

St Giles helps people impacted by poverty, violence & exploitation and the justice system to build a positive future. Its work supporting children and young people out of violence and exploitation has become a nationally recognised programme built and led by lived experience.

Our partnership so far has been brilliant, engaging @berkeley_group colleagues in both fundraising and volunteering activities. From sports events to conferences and insight days, it’s been great to deepen the relationship and build connections with St Giles’ clients.

Emma Long, Partnership Manager, comments:
“It is wonderful to see how our partnership has evolved over the past four years. We are incredibly grateful to everyone across Berkeley for the time, energy and commitment they have given through fundraising, events, volunteering and engaging with our clients.

It is a truly multi-layered partnership and a fantastic example of how a corporate-charity partnership can create meaningful, mutual benefit, supporting St Giles clients while giving Berkeley colleagues opportunities to get involved and make a real difference. We’re excited to continue building on everything we’ve achieved together so far and to see what the next chapter brings.” by @berkeleyfoundation

We are delighted to introduce our Annual Review 2026: Working together for stronger communities 🌱

✅ Over the past year, our charity partnerships have reached more than 15,000 people, helping to prevent homelessness, create job opportunities, build skills and improve health and wellbeing.

Not long to go now! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

On Sunday 25th October, our amazing Home-Start RKH team will be lacing up their trainers and taking on Lace Up for London, raising vital funds to support local families facing difficult times.

Among our fantastic runners are Eden Wattley and Sam Davies from Berkeley, who are ready to take on the challenge and chase their personal bests, all while making a difference to families across Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow.

Prime Minister @andy.burnham has committed to ending rough sleeping in the UK, noting that "With a good home, everything is possible. Without one, it feels like nothing is." Our new research, funded by @berkeleyfoundation, shows why financial education has a clear role to play.

Our research found that young adults who scored lowest on a standard test of financial literacy are nearly twice as likely to have experienced housing insecurity as those who scored highest.

The cost-of-living crisis has made money harder to manage for almost everyone. For young adults entering the housing market for the first time, often with little in the way of savings, no credit history, and no one having explained how either of those things really work, an already difficult transition has become significantly harder.

We are aware that financial education alone won't fix the housing crisis in the UK. But we believe it's a missing tool for prevention, one factor among several that shapes what happens to a young person during a housing crisis. Our findings back this up.

We're publishing this research to mark World Homeless Day 2026. Because understanding how money works, especially as it relates to housing, shouldn't be a privilege. It should be something everyone has access to; at the point they need it most.

And when a lack of financial knowledge contributes to someone losing their home, the system should notice, and act.

What a wicket evening! 🏏

We joined 200 guests at the @lordstaverners #Super1s Impact Awards at The Kia Oval Events & Entertainment last night, celebrating the achievements of inspiring young people who have taken part in the Lord’s Taverners inclusive cricket programmes.

Hosted by @skysports Pete Graves and joined by England Disability Cricket player Jonny Gale, former England cricketer Lucy Pearson and England player @opope32 the evening was a brilliant reminder of the power of sport to build confidence, create opportunities and bring people together.

Our Chair of Trustees Piers Clanford was delighted to announce that Berkeley Foundation has renewed our partnership with Lord’s Taverners for another three years, investing a further £600,000 into Super 1s and inclusive cricket in SEND schools.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the next three years will bring🌟

Today, we brought together our #ResilienceFund partners from Cohort 3 for a final learning and reflection session.

The conversation flowed, poetry was shared, songs played and books recommended. It’s times like these when we see the real value of co-creating safe spaces for peer-connection and support, and the important role they play in supporting the resilience of social leaders and their organisations.

Governance, leadership, people and decision-making were key themes of the day, with our partner charities sharing experience and insight, rich learning, and practical tips from their resilience journeys over the last two years. It was a privilege to be among such inspiring leaders.

Thank you to all our Cohort 3 Resilience Fund Partners who have been honest and open about their journeys, and thanks to So Jung Rim at six for facilitating such a great session.
